This Artist Inherited Her Mother’s Talent For Handicrafts And Created A Type Of Embroidery On Leaves (59 Pics)
We know that there are a lot of ways to use leaves for crafts and art projects, but we've never seen anyone exploiting this plant appendage for embroidery before!
The young Brazilian artist Laura Dalla Vecchia inherited her mother's talent for handicrafts and started an embroidery project using dry leaves. One can find various bird types portrayed on this unusual canvas for needlework. It's not an accident that the artist chose some endangered species for her project. The artworks are not just beautiful to look at, they are also used as a means to raise awareness. Which one is your favorite?

This one is my favourite! The delicate shading of the embroidery just draws me in!
Golden crowned conure aka Peachfront conure. The word ‘parakeet’ is accepted for describing many conure species in other languages besides English - though not to be confused with the Australian budgerigar (shell parakeet) or any other long tailed new world parrot family, e.g.; macaws
Reminds me of a saying: All of are angels with only one wing. And the only way we stay aloft is by holding on to each other.
These are really nice. I question whether you should say that she "inherited her mother's talent." May be better to say that she observed how her mother's patience and self-discipline helped her to develop a natural gift into an amazing skill. Talent like this requires work.
