A large bowl of water does fine as well. Our family parakeet Pete, loved to get in the bowl and splash around a lot. We just had to make sure there was a towel under the bowl, to keep the water from getting everywhere. ;D

Cute bird and cute idea, but if I am being honest, the bird only seems to be interested in the pool of water at the bottom and the shower part is just human entertainment. Maybe if there were a drain so that the bird doesn't have to stand in a pool of water, it would be more inclined to stand under the shower.
