I Photographed Betta Fish In All Sorts Of Colors And Patterns (35 Pics)
I present you with a photo album called "Betta Fish".
I started photographing betta fish in the middle of 2015 and continued until now. Betta fish are amazing, you can find them in all sorts of colors, their tails are like dresses, all of them have different patterns, and it looks like every one of them has a different mood and character. Betta fish are strong and easy to handle and feed.
Is it difficult to take photos of them? No, you only need to place a flashgun over a small aquarium and a reflector directly underneath to diffuse the light and trigger.
Betta fish are not expensive but you can get a priceless picture when you photograph them.

I'm getting some tetra fish soon, after them I will definitely get a betta!
As beautiful as Betta Fish are, please never order them online/per mail, go to the next pet shop and take them home to the aquarium yourselves, the live shipping ends deadly for most of them.
I love bettafish. I got myself a new one on the 25th august. Pretty sickly and skinny with not much shine. Gained a little light blue shine on the 29th. Now 17th of December he is almost 3 times the size he was and just a round fish who have learned to knock the rocks to the glass to get my attantion when he is hungry(24/7). bettafish-...f4033e.jpg
These are all males, so I hope that the shots of two fish in a single bowl are shopped. Male bettas are glamourous to attract females and to warn off other male bettas. If you put two males in a tank together, they will kill each other. They need to be sequestered from all other fish. They're aggressive little monsters...even if they are gorgeous. ...///... They're easy to maintain. I give mine three little kibbles a day (they're tiny), and change out his water once a week. They DO NOT like runnig water - and they aren't the most efficient swimmers, either. They have a life span of 3 to 3 1/2 years, although I've had a couple of them who made it to four.
They can live in community tanks and filters, running water are fine, just not high flow.
Load More Replies...Beautiful! I like it when Betta fish are treated like fellow creatures and their needs are considered. I worked with someone who would put a Betta fish in a tiny glass bowl as decoration for their desk. They gave up after three in a row died within two years.
That's animal abuse (even if it's out of ignorance)
Load More Replies...I never knew this fabulous fish even existed. As an artist your photographs are a blessed inspiration. Thank you.
I never knew these fabulous fish even existed. I am obsessed. As an artist they are such an inspiration.
Bettas are awesome. Of my current herd, Horatio is a little slow on the uptake, but he's quite the character.
I wish a top fashion house would do a Haute Coutour line based on these.
I breed these. They are so pretty to look at but such assholes to each other. My males have to be watched like hawks. Two that hate each other with a passion I put in seperate sets of barracks to stop any fisticuffs. My white double tail saw the lid off and jumped out of his barrack, shuffled and huffed his way over to where his nemeses was and flared his gills while out sitting on the table. The fact they can breathe out of water and need to surface every so often to breathe so they don’t drown also means they can be determined escape artists and have no qualms in shuffling off along a dry surface to get to their goal
Yeah, nss. They don't sell them in individual cups for fun. A divider ain't gonna work for long.

This is so depressing. These fish have been bred into mutants that can't swim well. They are kept in small containers without plants or other decor to avoid hurting those excessive veils their whole short lives. Such suffering. ;_;
They are kept in cups at pet store so they don't kill each other. They swim fine. Take one home and learn about them before you judge.
