Bored Panda got in touch with the artist to learn more about him and his creative process.
Jeffrey De Keyser was born in 1984 in Kortrijk, a Belgian city in the Flemish province. The artist graduated with a master's degree in political science from Ghent University and now lives in Ghent, Belgium and works as a social science teacher. Jeffrey enjoys teaching but he is also passionate about photography and traveling.

The artist has always been interested in photography but started appreciating it even more when he discovered the street photography genre. According to Jeffrey, it allows him to express himself even more and explore undiscovered magical moments in life. It changed his perception of reality.
Jeffrey's photography is very much inspired by the surrealist movement. He aims to portray a piece of the surreal and absurd condition of human existence. Looking at these photographs, one might discover new ways of observing society and humankind.

Jeffrey's photographs have been exhibited in quite a few international festivals, such as the Italian Street Photo Festival, the Brussels Street Photography Festival, the London Street Photography Festival and more. The artist has also been awarded at the photo festival "Lens op de Mens" in Pelt, Belgium and the Fotonale in Bruges, Belgium.
