30 Incredible Transformations That Show How Ordinary People Can Dramatically Improve Their Looks (New Pics)
Konstantin Bogomolov is a very brave stylist — he agrees to completely transform people's looks. It doesn't matter if a young man or an elderly woman comes to him, if they want changes, he and his team are ready to deliver them.
Bogomolov's website says he started "developing a new direction of image design" in the '90s. "Immediately it aroused great interest, both in society and the media. The time and authority that Konstantin gained in this field have confirmed the practicability and relevance of the chosen direction." His professional experience includes writing articles and handling photo stories for fashion magazines, producing TV programs about style and fashion, working as an image consultant in beauty salons, cooperating with model agencies, preparing fashion shows, and of course, developing style for individual clients.
Konstantin calls himself the number one stylist in Latvia. Is he really? Take a look at his clientele before and after their makeovers and you tell us!

She looked stunning before, also. The grey hair, the gentle smile, what a STAR! <3
Came here to say this. Should have kept her beautiful grey hair, and length. Who keeps telling women that after a certain age you gotta shorten it?! No idea who raised Aunt Messy here, guess she’s pretty rude and superficial
Load More Replies...Did she improve her look or does she simply look more trendy and main stream.
Does she look more trendy and fashionable in the after pic? Yes, of course she does. The stylist did a good job doing what they were supposed to do. But I still like the before pic better...
Didn’t we have a previous post on why women should KEEP their beautiful grey hair? Not a fan of the after hair
Women shouldn't be pressured by society to to color their hair. That post doesn't say that women who want to color their hair shouldn't because some random woman on the internet feels she can judge people's personal choices.
Load More Replies...What a shame-- her long greying hair was quite lovely. Personally, I don't think her previous style looked bad at all.
Bored Panda has already featured Konstantin Bogomolov here and here, but the stylist has been keeping himself and his team really busy, so we just had to do an update.
Bogomolov said he often hears the question “How to change my image successfully?” but thinks that’s not what people should be asking. “A spectacular transformation of one’s appearance should not become the ultimate goal. In some cases, it requires a radical change, in some just a minor correction.
Kristina, 37 Years Old, Psychologist
Great job! She doesn't look ridiculous or overdone, just better.
With "Psychologist" and those clothes, I'd go Brenda in Six Feet Under
Load More Replies...The stylist says his main task is not to change, but rather to find the client's image. He believes that one’s personality is what’s most important and that clothes, hair, and makeup are just tools that the image designer works with to help express it.
Jūratė, 49 Years Old, Housewife
What's with all the leather leggings? But her hair is decidedly better. It looks healthier
they all have gorgeous bodies and faces however they did not wear clothes that flattered their body shapes before
I really wish they would stop straightening as the automatic "improvement" to curly hair. Why not a nice cut and style? Keep the curls.
She looks tired in the before picture, like she has put in hard days work. They make over is wonderful and probably makes her feel really good.
Oksana, 34 Years Old, Manager
The hair and the glasses in the second photo add about 10 though; I'd guess she was about 45 looking at that photo.
Load More Replies...Now in THIS case it almost looks more like a mother & daughter. Good job!
The cut on the right is livelier. She needs new eyeglass frames -- these make her face look narrow at the top.
Tatiana, 57 Years Old, Entrepreneur
And the only change was a good haircut and updating her makeup - she's not wearing any more than she was before, it's just different.
Load More Replies...in the lower pic the lady on the left looks like Agnetha from ABBA, don't you think?
the hair looks weird in the second picture, like a toupee
Not only does she look a great deal younger, but also much more professional.
Her hair is very fine and cutting it shorter gives it shape. The simple shaping around her eyes makes her face resemble Julie Andrews.
She does look younger, the hair is adorable. The outfit leaves me blank.
Evgenia, 30 Years Old, Owner Of A Photo Studio
She looks very put-together in the before, but not very 'professional.' In the after, they gave her that 'professional' feel, but without making her look too overdressed. This is one of the best ones yet, because the before is very nice (maybe for something very casual) and the after is also very nice, but maybe for a more professional setting.
She went from looking like a teenager, to looking like a successful businesswoman!
You'd think that since she's a member of the "style" industry, it's surprising to think she looked like 'before' in a professional setting.
Olga, 52 Years Old, Yoga Teacher
Same! Her skin is gorgeous and I would never hide those amazing freckles.
Load More Replies...In the before, she looks like she's wearing a school uniform, and her hair has that same kind of feel, but in the after, she looks too overdressed and formal to be a yoga teacher, although she does look better. I'm conflicted.
I don't know how, but they seem to have made her look older in the after photos, prettier but older.
She looks older in a more polished and elegant way in my opinion.
Load More Replies...Tatiana,43 Years Old, Operator
Wow!!! My favourite so far. She looks at least 10 years younger and so smart casual. The whole look is so much better than the first one
yea its amazing what10 pounds of makeup can do
Load More Replies...Not my favorite. Prettier than before, but I abhor jeans with holes. I can't understand why someone would pay more for holes!!!
The look on the left says law office. The look on the right says art broker.
Elena, 42 Years Old, Bank Employee
Sneakers? Doesn't seem like she would choose sneakers & I don't care for them in that outfit.
That striped sweater NO. Everything else from both looks is interchangeable.
Natalia, 40 Years Old, Health Worker
She's really beautiful. The look on the right looks more energetic and confident.
Nadezhda, 28 Years Old, Manager
Me too—-what’s with all the asymmetrical short haircuts? Please don’t let that come back into style—-it didn’t look good in the eighties, it still didn’t look good in the 2000s, and it doesn’t look good now.
Load More Replies...Hopefully she won't start wanting to talk to herself.😅
Load More Replies...She didn't need that much of a makeover to begin with, she looks very nice in both but slightly better in the after pic.
What's with the (new) haircut? I love it, I think it looks good on her.
Līga, 38 Years Old, Transport Coordinator
but i love the polka dot tights!! they were my favorite part!!
Load More Replies...Wow, in the after picture she really looks like the actress Michelle Gomez.
The tights and shoes undo the super smartness of the smashing dress and stunning coat.
WOW! Looks totally pulled together - awesome combo (including tights)!
Svetlana, 50 Years Old, Entrepreneur
Not an improvement to me, looks even colder and more dismissive.
Aleksandr, 36 Years Old, Auto Mechanic
Two arm-full of tatts is now a style upgrade? I'm thinking photoshop or else this guy dropped a couple of thousand dollars on a long painful option just to show us what some new cloths and groom will do for you.
He would have looked much nicer without the tats! They have to be one of those fake tat sleeves! The change in clothes does look much better though!
it's not photoshop, the first pictures are frowning, the second is smiling - instant facelift, the camera angles also will affect how slim a face looks - and his beard has been cut by a professional - loads of men here have that look and they arent photoshopped
I think people were suggesting photoshop because of the new tattoo sleeves
Load More Replies...Foundation is a wonderful thing + subtle shading ....just the ave joe does not use make up heaven forbid!!
he's wearing makeup. that and the angle are why the nose looks different, not photoshop
Gunita, 40 Years Old, Housewife
The top right photo reminds me of Patricia Richardson as Jillian Taylor in Home Improvement. Does anyone else think so?
I can kiiiinda see it. Not really, but that was my favourite show growing up
Load More Replies...In the before, her hair was AWFUL (sorry) and it looks way better in the after pic, but her outfit in the before was better. Her outfit in the after looks like she wore some kind of VERY thin sweater, a bathrobe, and pj pants, and then decided to head to a job interview or something.
Great complexion, eyeglass frames, jeans and trainers on the left. I like the new haircut, white shirt and green sweater of the face pix, but not the new clothes in the full length.
She's gorgeous and I love the new look except for the extremely heavy makeup
Kristine, 44 Years Old, Lawyer
She looks much more professional and confident in the after pic, which is very important for a lawyer. Very nice!
I think she is a cold type and a red brick color isn't quite fit for her. If be accurate she is light summer.
I think she is a cold type and a red briсk color isn't quite fit here. If be accurate she is light summer type.
Ilona, 39 Years Old, Economist
I feel like this one has great continuity - big improvement in her presentation, but still in keeping with her profession and personality.
Vilma, 39 Years Old, Designer
I would say she looks like she could do a heck of a designing job in her update! I don't know I would think she could do a good job before. She looked like she didn't even take an interest in how she looked, so how would she think to take one in what you want her to do for you????
Svetlana, 43 Years Old, Accountant
Learning how to dress yourself can take 20 pounds off the way you look. This proves it.
She looks very nice, but does anyone else think her pants in the after pic are maybe an inch or two too short?
It makes her look amazing though, so I would say it is worth it.
Load More Replies...I personally don’t like the new haircut but everything else is great 👍
Win win win win win. If she doesn't mind doing the makeup, it really brings out her eyes.
Maria, 34 Years Old, Financier
Why do they keep taking women in their 20s and 30s and giving them haircuts more commonly seen on women in their 60s?
She looks nice in both, but I think I prefer the before (except maybe not those shoes) she looks like a very friendly person!!
Don't forget, they are in another country! Myself, I think she looks much better!
Love the look before a bit better because it´s more individual and artsy !
Inga, 42 Years Old, Educator
I like it, but I bet she feel self-concsious in those trousers !
She looks very nice in the after pic! And her earrings in the before are very pretty, I like them.
Iklima, 63 Years Old, Producer
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that but... I prefer the 'before' rather than the rather forced and awkward looking 'after'.
I love her new look. Is this a new fashion in gloves? I'd want to keep pulling them on properly.
Irina, 56 Years Old, Manager
Haircut is a much better shape—-frames her face much better than the old cut.
HATE the outfit in the second pictures she Looks like she is bout to go on an adventure to find elves and dragons not go manage a company I thought she was beautiful before too
So many of the "befores" have center parts. Center parts are flattering to almost nobody.
The new look close-up looks amazing! Again, the full-length outfit fails.
Vladimir, 31 Years Old, Specialist In Web Technologies
The makeover on him is a game changer. Much improved and still masculine.
don't think it's dyed, it's been left to grow out...look closely, it's fuller
Load More Replies...I feel as though the scarf should be a bolder color & a little longer.
Elina, 31 Years Old, Interior Designer
Her skin looked very fresh before--the makeup looks a little too heavy in the after.
She looks really nice in both, she didn't really need an improvement, except for maybe her shoes. And in the after, her makeup is a little too much. She kind of reminds me of that one person... Pioneer Woman or something I think?
Oh, her clothes her a great improvement. Not my taste but the outfit works with her body instead of the jumper that cuts across her widest part (not mean meanly). That jumper also doesn't work with her skin tone. She needed the contrasting colours. Most people make the mistake of thinking neutrals suit everyone... they don't.
Load More Replies...Incredible! The hair cut and color, the eye-makeup, the clothing... so gorgeous.
Inga, 41 Years Old, Transport Logistician
And they say clothes make the man! I think that could be said about women too!
Lina, 40 Years Old, Painter
What I noticed first wasn't the hair, makeup or fashion makeovers... I noticed the smiles, the confidence in their stances and the expression in their eyes. The biggest change was in how they felt about themselves. I bet if you simply put two photos side by side, one of them feeling awkward and barely smiling and the other with their heads held high, smiling and feeling sassy, that all that other 'gloss' wouldn't be necessary.
That's what I noticed also. Sadly, that look wouldn't be there if those changes weren't made. They needed a pick-me-up and that's what they got.
The old her looks like an artist in college. The new and improved her looks like a successful woman who exudes confidence.
I guess I just don't like make-up like this so much. I think her before outfit is cool!
what's with the horrible leather/pleather trousers??? again??
Tatyana, 46 Years Old, Manager
It's full on fugly - not a single redeeming feature to that top.
Load More Replies...Hair is a big improvement. The old sweater looks like a maternity outfit.
Again, proper fitting clothes, a good haircut and proper makeup. The haircut is what really makes it work!
Ekaterina, 38 Years Old, Doctor
could be due to the gun on her shoulder...
Load More Replies...Her hair doesn't look good in the before or the after. Just take the before, give her a decent haircut, and then have her put on some nice pants instead of that skirt, and ta-da! She'll look better than the after pic.
I think she looks friendly in both pictures but more confident in the after and that's what I want, a doctor that looks confident; then I feel more comfortable in their decisions with my life.
Dace, 40 Years Old, Pedagogue
Why the heck are they calling her a pedagogue?!?! A teacher, she’s a teacher
Not everyone who is a pedagogue is a teacher. For example, Kindergarten-workers are pedagogues, too (at least in Europe). To be a teacher, you have to actually study and do a 2-year referendariat (?) at a school and THEN take another exam and when you pass, you are finally a teacher
Load More Replies...Wonderful transformations, just breathtaking! A very talented stylist, indeed👍❤
she looked adorable and younger in the before, the after makes her look older and a little intimidating.
its actually a greek word "Παιδαγωγός"... a greek word for teacher.. pedagogos
Natalia, 46 Years Old, School Teacher
The short skirts look so "dated" now and not very flattering. Her new look is great.
Tatyana, 48 Years Old, Housewife
Oh, her hair looks so much nicer now, and I love her outfit in the after pic!!! Bravo!!
I think that is the frumpiest dress imaginable. Funny how people see things differently!
Load More Replies...To me she looks younger in the before pic. I kinda like that 80s hairdo, it suits her better than the new one.
Svetlana, 38 Years Old, Lawyer
Irena, 36 Years Old, Manager
At first I thought her bag was some kind of leaf blower... it's not my favorite. Other than that, the before outfit is very nice, but her hair looks much better in the after pic, and her outfit in the after pic is really cool (other than the aforementioned bag/purse thing)
Haha - thought the same! "Why's she carrying a leaf-blower?" 😁
Load More Replies...Lubov, 47 Years Old, Schoolteacher
Irina, 48 Years Old, Pedagogue
Not really. To be a teacher, you need to go to university and take 2 years practical teaching in a school (alongside many other things that have to be learned during that time) and take another exam at the end. You can be a pedagogue with vocational training, you don't have to necessarily study. At least - that's the way in Europe.
Load More Replies...Again...a teacher. Why are they using that word? And, boy oh boy lady, where did you get those jeans?!?! Yikes
They use it ecause it's not the same! To be a teacher, you need to go to university and afterwards you take 2 years practical teaching in a school (alongside many other things that have to be learned during that time) and take another exam at the end. You can be a pedagogue with vocational training, you don't have to necessarily study. At least - that's the way in Europe.
Load More Replies...Pampilia, 36 Years Old, Accountant
Her starting outfit wasn't great but her 'better' outfit is actually worse; the top makes her chest look saggy and really should have been tucked into the skirt instead of making her torso look 3x its actual length.
That jumper is revolting and doesn't suit her but neither does the outfit in the first photo - the former makes her look dumpy.
Load More Replies...Before, she looked dignified, but not very stylish, her after look is very.... quirky.
Irina, 38 Years Old, Manager
Marina, 37 Years Old, Manager
Marina, 42 Years Old, School Teacher
Yeah, those trousers are awful. That jacket and top with a skinny jean, on the other hand ..
Load More Replies...Rita, 47 Years Old, Educator
Vineta, 44 Years Old, Accountant
Ekaterina, 37 Years Old, Designer
Suddenly she was overwhelmed by an urgent need to speak with the manager 😬
Naw, she's too young. She's wearing 'The Karen' ironically.
Load More Replies...Neringa, 42 Years Old, Manager
Her hair looks better, but neither outfit looked good, and what's up with that lonely giant earring?
Asta, 50 Years Old, Freelancer
Oksana, 35 Years Old, Administrative Director
Irina, 43 Years Old, Manager
Ekaterina, 34 Years Old, Lawyer
Looks older now,but at least way more serious, which is needed for her job.
Irina, 52 Years Old, Accountant
Why was she not smiling in the BEFORE photo? I think she looked great!
Olga, 42 Years Old, Manager
Vaida, 42 Years Old, Director Of The Kindergarten
Agreed. I mean, the top looks good, but that platform Just. Has. To. GO!!!
Load More Replies...Usually, in my country, the director of the kindergarten also has some classes with the kids. Imagine her running around the kids in those shoes!
Yeah... Gracious! I guess she'd have to wear them when she's not at the school...🤔
Load More Replies...Inna, 39 Years Old, Department Head
Natalya, 31 Years Old, Manager
The long, shaggy vest and folded-up pant legs in the "after" pic are off-putting.
So the trick seems to be: cut your hair, load it with styling gel (or whatever) and slap on a nice thick layer of make-up. I wonder if that might be the general key to success in life??? But I doubt it very much...
positive vibes. you think successful people just became successful because they work hard alone?you need to feel good about yourself so you can look on different perspective. when i look good, i feel refreshed, i feel motivated. dont you feel that way?
Load More Replies...The problem with these makeovers is that they always rely on hairstyles that are hard or impossible to maintain in daily life. Plus a ton of makeup. And who wants to plaster make up on every day?
Those looks are clearly not for every day. Maybe some where specifically asked for to be easy to re-do on their own, but most were done for the "wow"-moment. It's not bad. I bet, though, especially the teachers and pedagogues will return to the "wild" after a day or two. You don't go around kids looking like Darkwing Duck.
Load More Replies...It's like the Oprah of makeovers. "You get a jacket! And you get a jacket! And you get a jacket!"
This is too dumb. The befores are casual wear inside the house, and the afters are get an edgy haircut, put on more expensive clothes and strike a pose. So I guess the key is to have more money. Got it. btw some of them went over the edge and look like dated catalogue models.
Nothing edgy about these haircuts. Not in style is more the word.
Load More Replies...Why do people go to the hairdresser? Why shave?
Load More Replies...As far as the outfits go, they look much better (some of them at least) after they've been dressed by the professional, and I'm glad that they may have learned how to better dress themselves. The makeup... is generally a little over-the-top, and the haircuts seem to be very repetitive.
