Look, we're sure your grandma makes an absolutely kick-ass Thanksgiving pumpkin or apple pie. We just need you to stop everything you're doing right now and look at the masterpieces this woman from Seattle is baking, though.
Lauren Ko has only been in the pie biz for a little over a year, but you'd never be able to tell by looking at what's coming out of the oven at her house. Her desserts are so intricate and artistic, it's hard to imagine digging a serving knife into that beautifully-latticed crust or delicately-arranged fruit filling. Her Instagram page has blown up as a result of her culinary adventures, and she now boasts a following of more than 68 thousand.
"I usually have some nebulous idea in my head for design and then just improvise as I go along, depending on how well the dough or fruit cooperates with my vision. My final products are generally happy accidents, which is why I'm especially stunned by the feedback," Ko told Buzzfeed News.

When someone says a person has way too much time on their hands they're pretty much saying the project they've done has been time spent in a pointless endeavor. This isn't very nice to say. I doubt if you meant it that way (at least I hope not). These are lovely works of edible art and most definitely this person doesn't have too much time on their hands. I do too. She wrote that she preferred the photos pre- baked because she doesn't think her butter technique is on point and the dough shrinks and moves, but-- She Is Glorious! I am enamored and really hungry now. I have no fruit tart tho. *sniffs*
