For some people, it’s a childhood classic, for others—a fantastic new experience. And now that summer’s just around the corner, what better time to take a look at the wonder that is a magic bean tent than now? If you are looking for a DIY project that you can whip up in your garden with minimal requirements and materials, this one might be just right for you.

All you need is some poles, twine or string, soil, pole bean seeds, and/or annual climbing flower seeds. You don’t even need to be a particularly experienced green thumb for this garden DIY project—just have fun and watch your little project grow (literally)!

This kids’ tent is just the right answer to all parents who want something fun and engaging for their kids. Not only can they help out with making a tent, you can also teach them how to attend to the growing plants. And in the end? They can enjoy the final result by finding respite in their own magic garden.

So scroll down, check out different bean tents that people have constructed, and perhaps draw some inspiration for your own garden! And hey, maybe try adding some other fast-growing plants or flowers to the mix? Experiment, have fun!

Young and old, people constructing these tents add something magical to their gardens
