In general it's better to not intervene in nature. Sea creatures stranded on a beach provide food for many beachcombing animals.

I was wildly confused until I clicked over to reddit after only a couple of the first dozen were things that might have actually washed ashore. Did somebody thinks "Cool stuff seen at the beach" wouldn't get as many clicks?
