Mom Makes Fun Of Her Model Brother By Having Her Toddler Recreate His Poses, And Result Is Hilariously Adorable (45 New Pics)
Interview With AuthorAugie is back on Bored Panda with some more of his wholesome and absolutely adorable recreations. Augie was featured on our website three years ago and people loved him! The little boy and his mom have an interesting hobby of recreating Augie's uncle's photos. The uncle's name is Aristotle Polites and he works as a model. So there's plenty of photos to recreate.
We asked the boy's mom if Augie likes to take pictures and this is what she said: "As he's gotten older, he's more involved in what pictures are chosen. I show him a few I know we can recreate and he picks which one he wants to do. He gets a kick out of seeing old ones, and giggles when we scroll through them."

The guy on the right have the best six pack. 😜 And the best smile.
Augie's mom's name is Katina Behm and to the wonder of many people, she manages to keep her son still long enough to capture these adorable pictures. We all know kids are full of energy that doesn't seem to ever end, much to the dismay of parents everywhere. Even on her Instagram account, she says: "I get the pics off miraculously after bath time." Katina somehow manages to keep Augie in place to capture amazing photos that rival her little brother's.
Katina and Augie's Instagram has over 65k followers, with people loving their creative recreations. They put a lot of effort into getting the most similar photo to his uncle's. Every detail is thought through, from the pose to the background and clothes!
We asked Katina what inspired her to recreate her brother's photos: "Augie was the inspiration. When he was 9 months old, I put a shirt on him but it wasn't buttoned yet. He was squirming and I realized he reminded me of a pic I'd seen on Aris' Instagram page so I snapped a pic and did a side-by-side and the rest is history!"
There’s something truly wonderful about a grown man wearing exceptionally festive underwear. I know he’s getting 💵💵💵 to do it, but it still makes me smile.
Katina shares what she and Augie enjoy about recreating these photos: "When I was doing it every week in a row (I think I went 88 weeks straight!), I would email the pic to my grandmother and call her every Sunday night and she'd be so excited to get the exclusive preview first and, of course, loved them all. Augie liked being bribed with candy the most."
Check out how much larger the dog’s feet are than the little dude’s.
"He was involved pretty much from the start," said Katina when asked if Aristotle was aware of her project. "Sometimes I'd have him weigh in if I did a couple of versions of the same to see which one he liked better before posting, I still do that, actually." Katina also mentioned that her brother loves this idea. Not only is it absolutely adorable, but it also drives people to his account without him doing pretty much anything. They also have some pics where Aristotle recreates Augie's pictures.
Does anybody else think the little boy’s T-shirt looks like it has some SHAKA action going on on the inside?
Katina tells us more about herself: "I'm a speech-language pathologist and certified brain injury specialist; I work with mostly adults on cognitive-communication and executive functioning skills and love it! Hobbies are making cheeseboards and drinking wine, haha. I also contribute as a writer to @fargomomco, which is a locally focused parenting website, and, of course, this account."
I eat healthier, I exercise everyday, since years, and I am fat... Life sucks.
And more about the adorable Augie: "Augie is a dream! Great sleeper, eater, listener, a people pleaser, and wears his heart on his sleeve. He loves all things sports, cars, trucks, his big brother and twin sister, whom he is so kind to, she can be a pill. I could never pull this account off if it was her and not Augie."
Katina shared what it was like when their page went viral: "Three years ago was a whirlwind of articles and interviews for websites and TV from all over the country and the world! It was overwhelming because it caught on like wildfire and I was so busy in general and then trying to get back to everyone and stay on top of knowing what was out there. It was fun, though, and I've been able to keep the account light and simple, just a place people can go to smile."
"Because I have 3 kids and a full-time job, I make sure I don't spend too much time on this account because my family comes first, but, I do read all the comments and always respond to DMs. I so appreciate when people comment on how the picture that week made their day, it's really why I keep going with the account. It feels good to be able to bring some joy to others, even if it's just a moment for a smile."

Big dude’s belly might (does) look impressive, but it doesn’t make me want to blow bubbles on it...points to little dude on this one
