Cute Or Creepy? Avatar Babies Are Freaking The Internet Out

We still haven’t decided if these “Avatar” babies are creepy, or awesome, or maybe a bit of both. All we know for sure it that they’re definitely intriguing.

A video of them recently appeared on an Instagram page called Artshub, and it’s since been viewed over 2.4 million times. They’re not real (sorry Avatar fans), but they certainly look it. The dolls are made by Babyclon, a Spanish company that specializes in creating super-realistic babies, and the good news is that they’re available to buy. The not-so-good news is that they cost about $2,000 USD. Still, at least they won’t grow up to be Avatar teenagers. We can only imagine what a handful that would be.

These fall apart in about 2-3 years. BabyClon uses tin silicone, not platinum like they say. So it degrades & rips. 2K down the tubes

Cristina Iglesias from Babyclon is a doll thief who illegally copies the work of dozens of sculptors and tries to take credit for them. She's a nobody and is not allowed into doll shows with these copyright infringe knock offs.

I love these avatar babies. The makers of these amazing lifelike babies are awesome!!!! I don't think they are creepy at all, it's amazing!! Even my lil one thinks these babies are perfect. There is so much imagination out there, some creepy, some morbid, scary n beyond. It's like dressing a real baby up in a costume on halloween. They got my vote for the awesome award.

BabyClon is stealing the work of the original sculptors by copying these dolls into silicone without their permission. They even laugh at the real artists so they were banned from all of the huge dolls shows around the world

A number of sculpters and collectors are claiming that Babyclon is recasting other artists sculpts and using them for their products without giving credit or reimbursement. A quick Google search brought up a lot of sites with photos to back up the claims.
