Without knowing too much about body language, watching her testimony gave me the feeling that she wasn't being honest. It just felt fake. I wonder, while watching her testify, if the jury is getting the same feeling.

This isn't admissible in court - which is why neither of them have called such an expert to the stand. All the same it IS interesting and whilst I did believe Heard at the start (why wouldn't I?) I am finding it difficult to look upon her as anything but a liar now. I read that part of her testimony is a direct, word for word, quote from a film. I can't say whether that's true or not but I believe she's made up the attacks she 'suffered' as some kind of revenge. Although this happens in a tiny number of cases it DOES happen and I think that's what we're witnessing. She has hurt the man, his career and the cause of all people, most especially women, who suffer from domestic abuse. For decades to come abusers will point at this case and say they are being unfairly abused..

Don't ever think that it was your fault. Everyone in your life, failed you to the point they should all be jailed! But you are here and you survived! Keep living and be kind and loving to yourself! I hope you would find a great therapist to work through this. You need to work it out. Maybe confront this teacher if she is still alive, to understand why, she did what she did. Abusive adults home in on kids that are abused. They recognize certain behaviors and they take advantage of the fact they are adults and their word will be taken as truth. She picked you, and made your life a living hell because she could and was extremely abusive herself. I bet every year, she picked the one kid with issues or problems and how she could take advantage of you and the next person. It was not you. Ever. Someone should have recognized what she was and saved you . From the teacher and your parents. They school system failed you and your family failed you. I am so very sorry she did this. And then to get you in 5th grade again, was horrifying! I wish the other teachers would've reported her and fired her. Sometimes, a child being abused, is like a homing beacon for people to take their anger out on, their frustration because no one saved you from it. So they all just let it continue and you suffered to the point yo didn't want to live.

As do many people without BPD, Mama Penguin. A big part of BPD is being easily emotional by external stimuli and, just like anyone feeling a strong emotion, we can do toxic reactions if not trained properly (through therapy). BPD makes it so that we can feel an emotion WAY stronger than what a situation warrants. The feelings are real, the way one chooses to behave is up to the individual. The initial emotion from BPD is not a choice the reaction is. I have BPD and now understand how to deal with it.

Sister Jane - thrid grade. I'll preface this by saying ALL of the other nuns at that school were wonderful and so full of love and joy, but Sr Jane was evil. She'd smack Paul's* (name changed) against the chalkboard every day, even if he hadn't done anything wrong yet. After giving a math assignement that required a ruler, I was digging in my desk looking for my ruler - the old desks with the super heavy tops that you'd hold open with your head while you dug. She came up behind me, grabbed my hair and yanked my head back, causing the top of the desk to slam on my hands, and yelled at me for not working on my math. Side note: we had "journals" that we woudl write - she'd write on the board exactly what to write in the journals. At the end of the year she allowed us to write whatever we want. I found that journal when I was in my 20s. My last entry was a detailed description of how I was going to kill her: I was going to sew thread between her toes and hang her upside down by it, then tape her mouth shut and pour melted butter into her nostrils so she'd drown. You guys, I was 8. I had never seen a horror movie or anything violent at that time. I just hated her that much.

I had at one point a very close friend with BPD. Although I’m not friends with her anymore, I wouldn’t say it’s because of her disorder, more because of actions of hers I didn’t agree with. I don’t think she’s a bad person nor do I think I’m not friends with her because of her BPD. It definitely is not “incriminating” or innately wrong

She made the generic excuses for bullies. “Are you sure he doesn’t like you?” Yes bish, he is BULLYING ME. “Everyone is bullied at some point in their life.” Well I’d rather have you at least try to help me than just let me have trauma. She also tried to blame me as well. Tl;dr - my counselor from elementary school.
