I don't think that's an unpopular opinion - I think that's partially what the artist is trying to convey.

make sure u know the story before you call out the idiots. many people are trying to either get home or visit dying/aging family members or do something that has importance. if they are willing to risk getting the virus, i suppose there must be some reason. just speaking from my own experience. feel free to downvote, just my two cents.

Some have to go for work though they can't help it they might get fired

There is an entire sector of people working seasonal jobs in agricultur, a good portion of those in my country travel through summer and spring for such job and return in late autumn after harvest, it’s not a choice, it’s the only way they can put food on the table. Construction sector too. They aren’t going on fancy holiday, 80% of the flights from here are people going to work and i’m sure it’s the same in many countries

It does in local elections. Voting is important even if it sometimes feels like it isn't, that's how they want you to feel though. The less people who participate the less we can affect the system.

That is technically true but having that idea causes people to ignore the state and local elections that DO matter very much. That's what's wrong with everything now. State representatives and senators are in office too long because people don't vote them out.

Yes, it absolutely does, because popular vote determines each state's Electors for the Electoral College. "Popular vote doesn't matter" is simply ignorant. Now, the system desperately needs reform, starting with repealing the House Apportionment Act of 1929. This would allow the apportionment of Representatives to be recalculated based on current population, so that every state received equal representation per Capita in the House. As it stands now, the Representatives of big states like California, Texas, Florida and NY (our 4 biggest states) each represent far, far more people than the Reps of smaller rural states. This gives the smaller states a much louder voice, proportionally. Recalculating the number of Representatives per state so that every state had the same number of Reps per Capita would resolve that inequality.

Presidential elections are lame but state and local elections are vitally important. Unfortunately people have the attitude that their votes don't count in presidential election so they skip the ones that do matter. You MUST vote. The whole thing gets screwed up if people don't participate.

Americans don't elect a president by popular vote. They elect Senators and Representatives by popular vote.Republicans are right wing Democrats are left wing.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't add men. It's a shame that so many men have to suck it up, play it cool, or are downright ignored for being abused. It goes both ways.

I mean I get your point... but the vast majority of people experiencing abuse are women. Men do get abused... but not nearly as much. That being said, men should normalize talking about their abuse as well and seeking help... but when someone makes art talking about the plight so many women are faced with... it is not very helpful to do the "men get abused too" response. Make your own art showcasing that and use your own platform... don't take away a platform from women.

Always gotta be someone who says crap like this. Yes, men also experience abuse. But they are also responsible for the greatest majority OF the abuse. We don't need men to be part of this image.

Reach out to friends and family, ask them if you can stay with them if you don't feel safe in your own home. Call the police if the abuse is physical. Obviously it's a difficult step to make, and that's the issue of this comic.
