Art is a perfect way to communicate and highlight all the issues and problems that arise. It is also a means to open people's eyes and let them finally see things that were swept under the rug and not touched for the longest time.

German artist Steffen Kraft, also known as Iconeo, creates thought-provoking illustrations that enable one to self-reflect and to see the world from a different point of view. Bored Panda has shared his artworks with you pandas before (you can find them here). Since that time the artist created some more profound illustrations. His drawings are impressive and communicate important messages that come from observing our modern society. Which one is the most relatable to you?

It hurts to think of all the creatures who will suffer when they get tangled up in those masks that have been carelessly dropped the past couple years.

F*** these people!! I can't stand it when I see litter/garbage on the ground when I'm outside walking. Like c'mon, there are PLENTY of garbage cans around. ESPECIALLY here downtown!! Sickening.

Last time I did a closet clear-out, I gave everything to a local women's shelter instead of donating to a thrift store. Everything was in good condition; I didn't donate anything that was torn or stained. It was mostly tshirts, but there were several nicer things that would have been appropriate for job interviews/business casual work dress codes.

A bonus to telling someone that their jokes are racist is that their response to a gentle and caring reminder informs you/me which friends are worth keeping. Had to give up on one of my sister over this issue. It has been years now and I still miss her and her finer qualities, but I still cannot handle her toxicity and hateful behaviors.

Are they not his friends? Don't you love how useless family and friends are with their "loved ones?" They are up in arms when someone is mean to that "loved one" but does not correct that loved one for being a degenerate I society. Gotta love the double standards.

Don't smile, don't laugh. If you are too afraid of ostracism, say you don't get it. If the obtuse fool tries to explain, say again " I really don't get it. I don't appreciate you either."

... I love when people who get furious at people who decide not to vote are totally sure that any preferences and boycotts in consumation wouldn't change any. They do. Ask any vegetarian who is one for 20 + years. Also, with the market being the only truly globalized thing, this is what really counts, while voting just looks nice, is an easy duty and a mere ceremony, most of the time.

Presidential elections are lame but state and local elections are vitally important. Unfortunately people have the attitude that their votes don't count in presidential election so they skip the ones that do matter. You MUST vote. The whole thing gets screwed up if people don't participate.

Honestly to my mind this is true. At least let's say it's much better to support people and/or organisations that try to change live for better then to believe voting changes anything. No politician at some level is able or willing to change things for people's sake if not pushed somehow to this position. And these "pushes" come from the people that I mention at the beginning of my post.

This one really depends on which country you are living in and what kind of voting system that country uses. In the US where we use an archaic plurality wins voting system (not even majority wins), if the candidate you support is even remotely left wing and thus not supported by either one of our right wing parties (Democrats and Republicans) and that's the person you vote for... you might as well be throwing your vote away. Unfortunate but that is how the US voting system works. I think a more prescient observation (for America, this probably tracks in other countries) would be if everyone was thinking "I like this candidate better, but they aren't as electable and I don't want to throw my vote away..." or something. Cause ironically... most Americans don't really like the candidates either party puts forth but vote for them anyway because they buy into the idea of electability mattering more than actual views.

Americans don't elect a president by popular vote. They elect Senators and Representatives by popular vote.Republicans are right wing Democrats are left wing.

In the US, Senators vote for the President, not the people. So, unless you know your Senators and trust what they choose to show you, it does not matter. Politicians rarely do not come with agenda and propaganda to harm the masses.

There were places where the election was determined by a coin toss - the candidates received the same number of votes.

Thanks for proving the point of the panel. If even one person who thought their vote didn't matter got out and voted, then one candidate would have gotten the extra vote to win without the coin toss.

Just pick a friend? Really? You could do that but the most are afraid to tell about it and feel even worse. You think its easy to speak about your abuse? Good then do it. But don't sag its easy to just pick a friend and tell them. Some friends maybe wouldn't understand it so you can't just pick a random friend?! Its sad how people judge men for all abuse. They also get abused very often, also women abuse people not only men. I know that the men are often the one who abuse women but they do the same to men but the most keep silent because nobody would care.

Reach out to friends and family, ask them if you can stay with them if you don't feel safe in your own home. Call the police if the abuse is physical. Obviously it's a difficult step to make, and that's the issue of this comic.

From my perspective, no. I grew up with a single mum who has given me everything. And now I get to spoil her with nice things. I don´t give a damn if I don´t get anything because I don´t give a flying f**k about Christmas. I just want an excuse to give my mum a big present without being told to "save my money". (Also, our Christmas does not have "Christ" in it, because it is called Vianoce.)

I love wrapping it and I love giving it, knowing the other one either really wanted it or I made it myself and they are happy about that. The insane shopping and buying and more and more and more just for the sake of having a gift is what I dont understand.

Buy small! I don't understand how people complain abt billionaires and use Amazon like it's going out of style. Use Etsy or something. You'll get more unique gifts and support small businesses.

Exactly! You don't even have to buy, selfmade is the best, bake some cookies, write a nice card, idk you could get into candle or soap making. It's all about the thought!

Give gifts year round. Spread your love everyday. Don't wait. Somebody needs what you are comfortable giving. Christmas is a gimmick for retailers. Do you know what the Bible says you should do to celebrate Christmas? NOTHING. Everything about Christmas from midnight mass to nativity scenes to advent calendars shopping, trimming the tree, are all gimmicks.

Christmas is about being together, not the consumerism of buying gifts. Its about connection.

Having children later in life allows you to party until it is well done and boring and then have kids which is a rebirth and new direction full of hope and light and love. Nothing feels as good as a child saying 'mommy I love you so much ' I had my cake and now I'm eating it. And I appreciate everyday

It's exhausting having to always be the one that reaches out... just wish for once that one of my friends would decide to text me first for once... cause honestly it's making me think that people only hang out with me because they feel obligated to since I reached out.

Pencils, people. Remember that thing called 'writing'? Seriously. Have we already forgotten? And no, I don't think the second panel means 'dummy with a pencil'. Rather that 'writing' on Facebook, is a 'pacifier' for the masses (all the people in the world). The first panel means we use LinkedIn to apply for jobs and create a career oriented profile about ourselves in place of the resumes, cover letters, and thank you cards we used to create on paper. The third is just sharing our daily activities with others on Instagram vs our ancient way of doing this, which was to show pictures of ourselves and maybe write on the back of the photo about what is going on in it, and the fourth is looking for romantic connections on Tinder instead of (and I bet very few of you remember or even know about this) posting want ads in the section of the newspaper which used to be called something like 'singles', 'connections', 'missed connections', or 'man seeking woman' and the like.

I guess the pencil means writing/sharing? So Facebook is sharing about being a mom/sharing baby stuff. Normally these are criticism though, i don't really get what's bad about these. Of course you're sharing different things on tinder than on LinkedIn lmao

It would make a big difference. If you are somewhere with no public transport - or sketchy P.T., then really, you need one. I mean, your spouse is having a heart attack, and you know ambulance will take like an hour to get there, you need a car. Ditto if you have a job interview. PT will never get you to a job interview on time.

Most North American cities aren't set up for cycling and a lot of public transit is lacking. Todays demands are too fast-paced to spend your day in transit. I could walk to work in 30 mins, but drive there in 5. That 25 mins is sadly needed

    Stephanie Slaten

Nobody is thinking this. People who have access to public transportation and still drive do so for reasons important to them. I am disabled so PT can be really dangerous for me. The rest of the country has no choice but to drive so they aren't thinking I'd like to give up my car but it wouldn't save the planet. They are thinking I hope my car stays working well because I can't get to work or buy groceries without it.

Not an individual issue. This is a problem that needs to be solved on the government level because the governmentis the one that needs to build efficient public transit. In America, it is literally impossible to do simple things like go get groceries without a car in many cities. We often need cars to do hour long commutes to work too because we don't get paid enough to actually live near where we work. And unfortunately it is unlikely that our government will actually build public transit because the automobile industry has successfully pocketed most politicians through lobbying.

Adding more lanes has never fixed traffic (source: look at LA and their ridiculous number of lanes on highways). All it does is increase the number of people driving on roads which means the same traffic issues. This is a phenomenon known as induced demand among urban designers.

Give up the car can make a huge difference on not only the planet but yourself too. Planet gets less pollution you get more money because you didnt spend gas or wear and tear etc and a healthier stronger body if you walked or rode a bike instead of driving a car everywhere.

I know this might not be the artist's meaning and it's a bit negative, but the first thing I thought of was the pandemic. The first panel is when everyone was freaking out wearing full hazmat suits and bucket helmets, the second is that it became "normal" and we all were like "What the heck has happened to our lives and what should we do?", and the third is over half of us going crazy and riding it out by protesting for our "freedom" from vaccines and masks and using it as an excuse to riot, incite violence, "enjoy" racism, and generally become a bunch of uncontrollable heathens. Sorry, not a negative person, just sayin'.
