Yesterday, on the 12th of November, one of the most famous American superhero comic book writers and publishers, Stan Lee, passed away. Alongside other legends - Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko - he created such iconic heroes as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Black Panther, and many more Marvel characters, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by generations to come.
We feel that there's no need to list all of Stan Lee's accomplishments further, but in memoriam, we'd like to share a couple of random facts about the Marvel universe creator. Before being known as Stan Lee, Stanley Martin Lieber wrote obituaries for celebrities and created training films for the army together with Dr.Seuss. And of course, you know the fact that Stan Lee always has a cameo in every Marvel superhero movie, but that is actually a part of his contract with the enterprises. Also, up until his death, Stan Lee received a hefty 1 million dollars each year just for being himself. That's what you get for being a legend!
Fans all over the world are already sharing tribute art in honor of this legendary man, and even Hollywood celebrities like Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. expressed their condolences. The Marvel comics Stan Lee created were a massive part of many peoples' childhoods, and even though he passed away, a warm memory of him and his kindness will forever stay with us.

Cutest picture on internet today, it should be #1. Edit : Thank you everyone for making it #1.
not to be and a*****e, but this isn't a tribute to Stan Lee... It's a panel of Cable's funeral in X-men comics... but fans pick it to honor stan because it has no speech bubbles
The moment when good and bad take a pause from fighting to remember their creator
The One Above All is now Under. Farewell Stan. Your legacy will continue as long as the world still exists.
OH MY GOODNESS THIS IS NOW MY WALLPAPER AND YES ON MY ACTUAL BEDROOM WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great gathering for their father STANN LEE ,alas a good goes back up to the topmman
I bought my first comic book in 1974, he filled my life with joy for over 44 years. RIP master of the comic universe.
While this is beautiful art, sadly it is actually originally from the comic scene for the character (SPOILER ALERT) Cable's funeral in the X-men: Second Coming storyline.
Valhalla! Of course, myth has it that Odin took a famous poet (Snorri Sturluson, I think) to Valhalla to entertain the Thanes, so of course a person so impactful on Today's culture society would beling there!!
I think it would be awesome and a fitting tribute if Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Josh Brolin, and pick any Spider-Man (lol) were pall bearers at his funeral.
The wit, the muscles, the genius and the gorgeous redhead. That pretty much seems like heaven to me.
This one's also a photoshop that crops out the original artist's signatures: 345424_201..._large.jpg
This one just shows the love for his characters in his eyes.
A new character taken from DC's Mister Miracle mini series in 2018 that it's obviously inspired by Stan The Man Lee... it even uses his catchphrase
RIP Stan Lee. You will be missed. Thank you for brightening the childhood days of so many. Also, has anyone else noticed the onion cutting ninja infestation all over BP? They’re practically crawling all over this post. F**k them. I’m out of tissues.
Yesterday when he died, I was so devestated. In science class, we stopped learning for a day and instead wrote goodbye letters to him. I'll really miss him. 😭
Rest In Peace Stan. Stan really was the man. I remember when I heard the news, I couldn’t believe it. He was a very amazing man. We’ll all miss him. May he rest in Valhalla.
I hope that Odin gives him a ride Home on Sleipnir, Stan has earned it.
Load More Replies...I hated his cameos. Complained about them every time. EVERY. TIME. Now that he's gone I know I'm going to miss them. EVERY. TIME.
He was a true hero, with super powers that enabled him to make people happy. People of any country in the world and of any age. If the afterlife exists, I hope he's having fun. For us, he shall live forever within the world he has build, alongside Ditko and Kirby, and everyone else who contributed to this magical heroic universe.
Beautiful man, meant so much to so many. I had the pleasure of meeting him twice, he was a gentlemen and always had time for everyone.
Thank you for inspiring me, stan lee. May you legacy last as long as the city of vibranium. WAKANDA FOREVER!
How can they make any hero movies without him, im bawling, so many of his heros helped me through my rough childhood, he's gonna be missed so much by so many people
The art work of dinotomic is absolutely amazing and definitely should be added to this list of artist who have paid tribute to a true legend Stan Lee. https://www.instagram.com/p/BqF2_YrHk_4/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=166xpl4ychtxr https://www.instagram.com/p/BqH-70_nx3o/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=lwama8m6q1gl
The level of admiration and outstanding creativity would have Stan Lee, RIP, grinning on his way through those pearly gates.....his legacy will never fade!! Bravo to all artists!
So sad he's gone. He will live on through the Marvel legacy. We see a bit of ourselves in each character, but how much of Stan Lee do we see in them? Wonderful story teller. Forever instilled in our childhoods and adulthoods. This is the part I hate, when they leave. See you on the flip side of the comic book
These are beautiful. Can someone please tell me why the majority of them reference Spider-Man specifically? TIA
James Hance did a great one too https://www.instagram.com/p/BqGTirWAycZ/
SpaghettiToesDad on instagram did one that totally needs to be on here! https://www.instagram.com/p/BqGg86-lxLg/
Stan.... you inspired so many people.... we hope you have a great time in Heaven.... you will be missed
I discovered Marvel comics, shortly after emigrating to the USA from the UK. Stan Lee was a genius. My brother and I had comics that very quickly became quite valuable. But even more valuable, to us, was the humanity that Stan brought to his superheroes. They had flaws, just like the rest of us. RIP, Mr. Lee.
Think of what a kick Stan would have gotten of going from being the one making the art to being the art that is made!
Jim Henson, Robin Williams, and Stan Lee, and Jack Daniel's. The only 4 white guys I shed tears over. Yall provided much happiness. Excelsior
And my second tribute to Stan Lee. I wouldn't be the artist I am today without him...I wish I could have shaken his hand and told him: Hey Stan, you have reached more hearts in this world than anyone...and you'll stay in mine forever. Tongo-and-...403699.jpg
Here I am, fat german git, 47yrs old, crying like a baby. And I didn't even read that many Marvel comics in my life. (huge fan of the movies, though) But these pictures here, they're just... They radiate love and respect for Stan and his creativity, damned moving, that!
I also did this when I saw the news about Stan Lee https://www.instagram.com/p/BqHWHrFlR8l/
Thank you for your vivid imagination and your infinite sense of humor Mr.Lee… You will most Definately be missed… But your legacy will live on for a very very long time. RIP Stan Lee…
I always regret it when talented people pass on. At least this one had a long, successful life before the time came to go. I hope his loved ones and friends are doing as well as possible.
He is sorely missed - but what a grand legacy he leaves behind.
I don't always get emotional but this just hit me like the hulk hit thor.
These are all beautiful! It was heart breaking hearing he passed the other day. I'd love if you checked my tribute out too. https://www.instagram.com/p/BqHK6UXDWkC/
This man's works made what could have been a miserable, bullied childhood so much more tolerable.
R.I.P Stan Lee. Rest In Peace. No words can express our sorrow. This, the works of artists all over the world, is only a small part of the great legacy you left behind. Rest In Peace.
These are great. I was a comic collector as a kid (still have my collection, in fact), and am a huge lover of the Marvel movies, as are my kids. Thank you, Stan Lee, for your contributions to my world, and for giving all of us lifetime memories.
I pray that the cameos never stop. Be it pre-recorded videos or VFX, without Lee's appearance, a Marvel movie will be incomplete.
Well, s**t, pregnancy has me much more emotional than I'm used to... (grabs the tissues)
Hasta siempre!...en español porque nosotros también lo vamos a extrañar...
I'm not a really big fan of those superheroes. But, knowing his gone giving such a big impact. It was like losing someone who created an inspiration to most people through his creation. I've meet many kids who been inspired by the superheroes he made and that really make me sad too. Condolences to Stan Lee.
