I am a Berlin-based artist, illustrator, animator, and storyteller. I not only see faces everywhere but I see stories in these faces. Last week, while cutting onions to fix a quick meal, I saw this face on a piece of onion. I placed it on my sketchbook and took a picture of it, and continued cooking. Late that evening, I created the first piece titled Scream and then I went berserk flirting with some of the famous works of art. I had a lot of fun creating these - I hope you enjoy them. Onions do have layers!

You got a lot of mileage out of that one piece of onion! How long did this take? It seems like it would shrivel up in a day.

Yes I always knew that onions have layers ;) , Scream got me started and the next day I finished the series in one sitting!

I will tell my daughter to look for you on Instagram. Well, both my daughters. My 25 yr old is an Instagram nut but my 39 yr old daughter just had her first baby so she isn't spending as much time on there anymore. She is so overprotective; she took her baby daughter in to have her first eye test at 5 months old!!!
