Ariana Grande To Pay Dalton Gomez Hefty Sum As Their Divorce Is Finalized: “Thank U, Next”

Ariana Grande’s nearly three-year marriage to real estate broker Dalton Gomez has officially come to an end.

The divorce between the 30-year-old pop sensation and her now ex-husband was made official on Tuesday with a Los Angeles Superior Court judgment.

The 7 Rings singer filed for a divorce petition six months ago from the 28-year-old businessman after they separated more than a year prior. With no children involved and having signed a pre-nuptial agreement, there were reportedly no major legal hurdles to slow down their split.

The separation process was initiated by citing irreconcilable differences.

Although the terms of their settlement were agreed upon last October, the former couple had to wait out the required six-month period before it could be legally enforced by a judge’s order.

As per the terms of the settlement, Ariana will issue a hefty one-time payment of $1,250,000 to Dalton, in addition to equally splitting the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles residence. Moreover, the singer also agreed to cover up to $25,000 of his legal fees.

The singer will not be paying any alimony as per their agreement, AP News reported.

Ariana and Dalton began dating in January 2020 before spending the pandemic quarantining together. The same year, they appeared together in the music video for Justin Bieber’s Stuck With U.

The pair were engaged by December 2020, and they exchanged wedding vows on May 15, 2021, at Ariana’s home in Montecito, California.

The pop singer continues to make waves with her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, which was released earlier this month.

Following the news of her divorce, fans referenced her hit single and commented, “Thank u, Next…” in support of the artist.

“She said thank you Next !” one joked, while another said, “She’ll be more than ok. She’ll continue to thrive.”

“No one breaks a marriage unless there is a willing participant. Blaming her solely absolves the the man as a participant in letting it happen,” said a third comment.

“As any woman deserves, she deserves to be happy with a man that will treat her good and not just after the dollars. She can take care of herself. But obviously it gets lonely being a singer and constantly going on tours etc. I hope she finds true happiness,” read another.
