Anxiety is not a joke. But what if a light-hearted laugh could make things a little bit brighter? British illustrator Gemma Correll draws comics inspired by her own anxieties and depression. She thinks that the best way to deal with this condition is to try to "find humour in it."
"I honestly think that humour can be a saviour at times of distress or, if you just live with a constant level of anxiety and depression like I do," said Correll. "I do think that people should speak more freely about anxiety," she added. "I know that I would have felt a little better as an anxiety-ridden teenager if I knew that I wasn't completely alone in my fears."

I want to write a comment; but then people will know my name, and then, wait... will this comment be posted onto FB? I really don't like the idea of my FB "freinds" knowing I am suffering with anxiety and depression.
That's why I sign in with my email and not Facebook. And right now I'm panicking over the thought that they might be seeing in on Facebook, since this is the first time I've commented so much, so thanks
Load More Replies...These are so incredible! I can feel the pain. I suffered with depression since I was a baby. I was 33 years old before I agreed to take antidepressants. The only reason I agreed was so I could get enough pills to kill myself. I just had NO JOY or happiness in my life. I took the pills for three weeks when husband me how long I was going to have to take the pills. When I told him I'd have to take them for the rest of my life he told me that he'd buy them for me too. The medication was a life savior for me as it is for millions of other people who suffer from this debilitating disease! So there is hope when you find the antidepressant that works for you!
