Person On Anti-Depressants Destroys This Motivational Poster With A Single Comment
We all feel sad from time to time, but some people hit an emotional low and stay there for weeks, months, and even years, and sometimes without any apparent reason. Depression isn’t only a low mood; it’s a serious condition that strongly affects our physical and mental health. It shapes the way we view ourselves and the world, making day-to-day life incredibly difficult to manage. Sometimes depression occurs alone and other times it’s part of a bigger disorder (for example, Bipolar disorder). Treating these and other similar conditions often involves antidepressants, and there’s a never-ending debate about this practice. People are constantly arguing whether the results in patients these drugs produce can be attributed to the placebo effect or achieved with alternate methods. Recently, a Facebook page that describes itself as a “hub for free thinking” has shared their take on the subject. The Free Thought Project has suggested people should “get lost in nature” if they want to “find themselves,” calling antidepressants a “lifelong addiction.” This statement, however, has caught the eyes of a person suffering from the disorder. Unable to stay quiet, they decided to respond to the statement. Scroll down to read the comeback and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Posts like this have been circulating for years, and (as a sufferer of depression) I've commented on many of them. What a way to shame the victim of the disease, really. What I can't stand is that usually the people who post this c**p haven't dealt with depression or anxiety attacks, so they don't know how bad things can get, but still they think they know better.
honestly, its click bait. I doubt half the people that run those sites know anything about anything. I can tell you, a medical doctor / nurse did not make this post. Someone with no experience and a laptop made this post.

From someone who knows- when I can actually drag myself out of bed/the house and into the countryside, I'm more likely to see trees as a great ligature point than a source of relief, if I haven't taken my meds. Exercise and the countryside truly are great for MH, but suggesting they're all you need is just c**p. I might as well turn to prayer, crystals and veganism in order to cure a physiological condition!
I think we can even call it a physical medical condition. If it's about the brain and chemicals...
