So, if you’re not outraged enough already over a previous post about the bizarre behavior of the anti-vaccine crew, here’s another example that is immoral, dishonest and can even put the lives of others in serious risk.

If you want to work in the healthcare industry, where you are exposed to bacteria, viruses and all kinds of illness and disease more often than regular people, it just makes sense that your immune system is as robust and strong as it possibly can be. Not just for yourself, but for those that you come in contact with too, as their own immune systems can be severely compromised and any infection can quickly become life threatening.

Therefore, most employers make it mandatory that healthcare professionals are fully vaccinated, even against ‘minor’ things like the flu. This brings a dilemma for anti-vaxxers who want to be doctors, nurses etc. as they have to choose between their ill-founded principles, and the realities of medical science.

Now, there appears to be a Facebook group for these people to share their tips and hints of how to cheat the system, and enter the healthcare world unvaccinated. From getting friends receipts, to finding stores that give receipts before the shot so they can run away, these people are infuriatingly brazen about their selfish behavior. Some even go as far as to refuse TB testing or x-rays. Because things were so much better when we were ‘pure’ without these forced, evil-government ‘toxins’ and dying in our 30’s, right?

The most infuriating is when I see actual medical students asking for advice how to cheat the system. If you can't believe in vaccinations after more than a 100 years worth of scientific evidence, how can you ever be a good doctor? They kind of make me think of moles in police. What is their motive?

They should be required to be witnessed being given the vaccine. There’s ways you can’t avoid getting them, just like there’s cheats. The medical community needs to implement that you must have a physical medical witness, maybe.

not only that, if a nurse or a doctor makes a critical mistake, they could be facing a serious lawsuit suspending their medical license with no chance of getting it back. there is a reason why the law is very strict in medicine and these idiots think that they can get away with it.

Okay...so DON'T get the vaccines...and then when the hospital/patient discovers it was YOUR fault...enjoy your jail time or lawsuit. You put innocent peoples lives in jeopardy all because of what you "Think" are dumb vaccinations. Hence why all the old school diseases are coming back in a HUGE way. Just like a story here in Richmond, VA about a group of cheerleaders at a local high school have been exposed to a Mumps outbreak....how much do you want to bet it's because someone's nutjob of a mother didn't vaccinate her child. THINK PEOPLE!! UGH.

They are seriously scared the the TB test is worse than having TB? Idiots. Let's just spread TB around the damn hospital to all the patients that have immune problems. Get in a new profession if you don't want to follow their rules. They have protocol and policies for a reason in the healthcare field. It's so you don't get sick and you don't spread disease.

It is committing murder full name. Gayle is correct. There are many people out there with compromised immune systems. By walking around with TB or other highly communicable diseases you are spreading DEATH to these patients. Say if a nurse has TB and comes into contact with a patient with cystic fibrosis. That nurse just KILLED that patient. A patient with CF already has lung problems. TB is spread through the water droplets in coughs and sneezes. So if you knowingly refuse to be tested for TB in the medical field, you are knowingly committing murder.

Ok, lets play a game. Put all those people together in a place called "anti-vaxx forever". Let them live all by themselves without our herd immunity to protect them. And wait. Now, here come the game, how many times before they come to beg for vaccins? How many of their kids would die before they figured out the failed them? If it wasn"t about getting kids killed, it would be fun to try.

So you want to work in a hospital or clinic where you could potentially be spreading infectious diseases to patients who may actually die if they were to contract them? Funny how some people scream "but science!" when it comes to things like global warming, but totally discredit "science" when it comes to vaccines.

I get it if you are general population that you are scared of vaccines, but doctors nurses. F s**t man. TB tests are you crazy... if you have it you might die, or even worse you can only be carrying. How the f do you finish your degree if you don't know that. Anyway if you are in health occupation you should be vaccinated. For me i know i'm in contact with people that have really bad health already and if you cary or get disease, there is high chance everyone you care for will get it to. Hepatitis and other common vaccines should not be even q for any health worker. Ether do it or go out. Anyway some mother talked about daughter being dr. student at end of study... you have mandatory vaccination 1. thing you do at start of 1. year. So she is talking bs. As do half or people that don't even know what to do with vaccine. Anyway something to think about TB you can also be only a career and not be sick. No anti-vaxxer should be allowed near a scientific or medical profession, AND no-one married to an anti-vaxxer should be allowed near a scientific or medical profession - just shows a series lack in judgement.

I used to work in a medical facility. We had a few antivaxxers who refused to get the flu shot. The head surgeon made everyone watch footage he had of his time in Hong Kong during the SARS outbreak when 16 of his colleagues died. He had footage of his friends and students critically ill, and footage of the funerals. Everyone got their flu shot, and everyone uses masks and hand sanitiser during flu season.

I would imagine that faking a required vaccination while working in health care would be grounds for instant firing--as it should be. Anyone who doesn't realize the value of vaccines should not be a health care worker. Interesting that the student/mother who won't get vaccinated has a very young child who would be most at risk in an un-vaccinated household. If you want to appreciate vaccines, read a bit of Victorian history about deaths from disease. A family could lose four children in a week.

This is one of the ongoing problems with he internet. The dumbasses who think a handful of hours of reading internet research is the equivalent of actual knowledge, and study of a craft. People out here who think they know better than people who have studied an issue for years, and dedicated their life to it, and all these yahoos have under their belt are a handful of casestudies they shared on Facebook. When I go to a doctor I want to know that person has studied their craft for years, and made a career of caring for others. I don’t want someone who just read a few articles on the internet. And this is totally selfish! Isn’t caring for the welfare of others a requirement for being a health worker? Everyone who goes into health care should be required to be physically witnessed getting their vaccines!

That's natural selection at its finest. Don't push them to get vaccinated and let them eventually go extinct. These are the people who'd deny to take it if cancer had a cure. In Turkey, many illnesses that hadn't been seen since the 1980's thanks to the vaccination in schools from age 7 to 15, have made a come back because of the non-vaccinated Syrian refugees.

IDK if this has already been mentioned, but here goes: The thing that gets to me is how so many of the anti-vaxxers call it a "moral" choice (or at least aligning with their values). So you're saying your moral compass guides you in the direction of endangering the lives of you, your family, and everyone you interact with daily. But why does that same moral compass NOT point you AWAY from deception and bold-faced lies? How does being anti-vax make you pious, but lying to your employer (and patients) is morally agreeable? I wonder if it's a "lesser of two evils" thing, or an "answering to a higher power" mindset. Overall, the anti-vax mindset appears to be exceedingly selfish and short-sighted from where I stand.

Ok, do people know that you can tell if someone had a vaccine just from a blood test. These people are gambling if they don't think they will get their blood tested. For example, I have had all the vaccines, including hepatitis and the vaccine wasn't working because I didn't have enough antibodies so they gave me a booster and checked again. You can check antibodies for anything that a vaccine produces. Seriously people....

6% to 10% of people don't make antibodies. In the pre-polio era they were considered to have agammaimmunoglobuminaemia - and they got the same diseases as those that make antibodies. They cured in the same time frame and with the same cure rate. Thus - antibodies are overrated by the industry.

First, I am very much for getting the flu shot. My issue is with forcing those who are against them into receiving the flu shot. Statistically, before flu shots were mandatory (at my facility at least), we averaged 94% compliance with staff being vaccinated. There was no requirement - just strong encouragement. Going with statistics, the CDC had published that immunizing a population at 85% will effectively cover the entire population from most given diseases. So, with those figures in mind, why are we forcing these people to comply? It certainly is not about protecting the population. the CDC's own published numbers bear that out. So, why are we not just letting these idiots quietly refuse their shots? Making anything mandatory usually has a worst backlash than simply explaining the reasoning and allowing things to fall into place. Its a power issue.

What if that one b******t "they're MY goddamned rights" doctor is the one my Dad gets? That pigheaded "my rights" doctor or nurse may not be affected but my Dad could be mightily affected. He wasn't subjected to certain diseases as an added bonus. He's got multiple cancers, he's recently had a nine hour surgery to remove half of his stomach and part of his spine (yes, his spine) and he's 82. Let me tell you, if you're in the medical field, you need to be getting a f*****g flu shot.

It is scary to think that theses "medical professionals" are not getting vaccinated! They are working around and with people that have compromised immune systems and a single virus passed can kill them. According to the CDC, vaccinated people essentially act as barriers to outbreaks, since diseases can't pass through them and infect others. Further, the concept in science called "herd immunity," refers to the idea that a lot of people need to get a given vaccine, whether it's for the flu or measles, to stop a disease from spreading. Even a small number of unvaccinated people can keep a disease alive and mobile. I get it, it's is "their" body and "their" lives. But now, they are working around people who are already ill, immunity is down, and suddenly, the illness can take a fatal turn. They might as well just play Russian Roulette with their patients, odds are probably about the same.

Exactly K.LNU. well said. Drs etc WILL be working amongst the vulnerable all the time. And the vulnerable need a higher level of vaccination people around them than general population.

The concern around the spread of flu virus or any coronavirus in a hospital or medical setting justifying mandatory vaccination of healthcare workers is unsubstantiated, misleading and provides a false sense of protection for others. A healthcare worker being vaccinated does not protect someone else from contracting virus--vaccinated or not. Unfortunately for many, ones health status will be the main determinant whether they get sick from a virus or not, Think about it. Having 1 or more preventable lifestyle diseases puts you at greater risk for many things, including viral diseases. To think a vaccine targeting a single virus among an entire virome of virus is going to protect you or improve your health status is naive or extremely optomistic. Take away--take care of your health through healthy lifestyle choices.

I understand the compulsory vaccination in the medical industry but the method of vaccination and the efficacy is wrong. You are given a shot that is loaded with toxins and chemicals as well as foreign RNA. This enters straight into the blood stream because you bypassed the method of which your body defends naturally. In doing this, you are putting yourself at risk for damage and a mutation possibility of the virus. We are still doing poor science and medical work based on a century old philosophy. The vaccines do not work and are more inclined to causing mutated forms. The recent measles outbreaks are all the vaccine strain of the measles and not a wild measles strain. Why? Because the wild form is all but gone from healthy society. For those that say the anti Vaxxers are spreading the diseases, if your that worried about it then your vaccine efficacy has doubt. If you think vaccines work, then don’t worry about those who could contract something. Better research less fake news.

Anti vaxxers are some of the worst types of people. Especially ones that refuse to vaccinate their kids; they don't deserve the right to have or take care of children. I have severe Crohn's disease and I could DIE from the flu since my immune system hates me so much. Yet there were kids at my school that didn't get the flu shot because "it's just a trick from the government" while I was sitting there wanting to stab them with a needle. Istg these people p**s me off.

I am NOT anti-vax...I've had all the "regulars", as had my daughter (MMR/Tdap/Hep). But I do NOT want anything to do with the flu shot. In my situation, the risks do not outweigh the "reward". I'll take my chances with regards to the flu since that vaccine is new, loosely researched, and fluid in its chemical composition. Not to mention the efficacy rate has something to be desired....YOU CAN BE PROVAX AND STILL BE ANTI-FLU VACCINE.

I say we round up all the anti-vaxxers, put them on an island that is populated only by anti-vaxxers, we'll even provide all the luxuries that come with the anti-vaxxer lifestyle. Of course we'll film it all too so when they all die we have educational footage for the future that shows what happens when you put all the anti-vaxxers on an island, big surprise preventable diseases get them all :D But in all seriousness get vaccinated, now don't take this as me saying people who have legitimate reasons for not getting vaccinated, if you've got a compromised system and you can't get vaccinated I understand that, the rest of society understands that, if you wanna take the religious route and say that your religion forbids it, as silly as it may seem to non-religious people it's a legitimate reason to not get vaccinated. But to say no to vaccines just because oh their toxic I want a pure perfect body that's never been touched by toxins get out of here with that garbage.

Shot Nazi's removed my many arguments as to why vaccines are NOT as safe and NOT as effective as pretended. Just look at all those outbreaks - every whooping cough outbreak in the pre-schools comes right after they are given the pertussis shot (you're 5X MORE likely to get whooping cough after pertussis shot) All the school outbreaks occurring in the early school season - RIGHT after they catch up on their vaxassinations. Also note that when the many colleges have mumps outbreaks - they are given UP TO FOUR shots - and it does NOTHING to slow or reduce the outbreak. The only thing that worked was isolation and quarantine. Shots TOTALLY FAILED - Harvard, Missouri, Ohio....

Anti-vaxers = willful disease spreaders. Treat them like the contagions they are. They absolutely have the right not to be vaccinated; I absolutely have the right to treat them like willfully ignorant disease spreaders. Bluntly, they'll die out eventually because yelling at a disease doesn't negate it - quarantine them until they're gone.

Then there will be less demand for oil and natural gas, so ANWAR and the national parks won't be targeted for drilling. A decade from now the population could drop to four billion. RandomPerson21 i am 15 years old and i live in australia. I have been vaccinated for everything. when i was 11 i got whooping cough because of people like you. Vaccines are not ineffective in people over the age of 65 they contract diseases because of their suppressed immune system like me when not enough people around them are vaccinated. However when they and people around are all vaccinated, they do not contract the disease due to the effect of herd immunity. When only say 50 percent of the population is immunized and someone carrying the disease is present, all those people catch the disease first. A vaccinated person is then exposed to so many more people with the disease and so they contract it too. Vaccinations drastically decrease the chance and effects of contracting the disease but do not prevent it 100%. However when 100 % of an immunized population comes into contact with a disease it becomes near impossible for the disease to spread. However not everyone can get vaccnat..

Giulia Betke

..ed due to their age or if they have an immune disorder. Therefore they rely on 100% herd immunity to not get sick. The reason you would be 100% fine is because you too have been relying on said herd immunity. Vaccinations are visibly effective in LED countries because as the rate of immunization goes up so does herd immunity and disease rates go down. it is exactly the same as it once was. DON'T go thinking the uk has a precious spell on it that magically keeps the diseases away. It is because the uk has already gone through this process. In Australia as the number of anti-vaxers like you goes up, the herd immunity of places such as my primary school goes down and we are already seeing a huge re-occurrence of diseases that were almost eradicated like whooping cough. And so i got sick despite doing the right thing. And while i got better when i get sick and have a cough, it feels as if i have it again, and i can breathe. Please check out this video

Wow, is anyone else here bothered by the fact that these people are just straight up lying to their employers? If they are caught there could be serious repercussions. And what does it say about the honesty/integrity of your doctor if you knew she lied about getting a flu vaccine in medical school? I know that no one's perfect and we all tell white lies from time to time, but it really sits poorly to think of a doctor just lying about it. I also shudder to think of the possible legal ramifications if there is a flu outbreak among patients and its tracked to a provider that falsified their vaccine. I think if people want to work in healthcare and don't want a vaccine, they should be offered to wear a mask, work in non-patient-care areas (i.e. billing, phone triage) or take unpaid time off. Forcing the issue is creating at least part of the conflict here.

in medicine, there is no room for your personal opinion. every single thing a doctor does is based on evidence. you can't just not get vaccines just cause you don't believe in them when it's clearly based on almost 200 years of medical research solely on vaccines. I understand you just started med school but if you were a doctor you could get your license suspended for such mockery.

I wish someone could go back in time and shoot yhe person who started this kind of trend... If at all medicine is dangerous then it should be retested and perfected until it's safe as it can be, and to keep doing that as technology advances. Even further still people should probably explain how this really works and what their doing to negate side effects if they haven't.

To all you Pro-vax "JABBERS" here and your STUPID and blind acceptance of the lies you are told. Did you ever stop to think that REAL science has proven that a person who got a flu shot is 6.3 times more likely to be shooting out flu viruses FROM THE VACCINE than one who did not get a flu shot? You are not intelligent enough to look up facts, so you spout what you heard - by an industry that makes BILLIONS off this poison c**p every year. No - what are some factors as to WHY the virus from the flu shot in not always killed? Well, how much formaldehyde they put in the shot. (carcinogen - fools, and neurotoxic) How LONG that formaldehyde interacts - at what temperature it interacts, and whether or not the virus itself is one of them with an extremely thick protective cell wall. 4 ways the virus doesn't always get killed. Duh. Do you clowns and morally outraged non-thinkers ever look at ORIGINAL ANTIGENIC SIN? That is the REAL science that proves that the more flu shots you get, the wor

worse your immune system protects you against the flu. Why? Because when you give it the shot, and if you make antibodies - you fight the OLD war when you get another shot or a wild flu. The more shots, the more old wars you fight, the less you fight the real threat. Duh. Did you not hear about the study of the flu shot in Hong Kong last year? First vaccine versus no vaccine (not as good as could be - they probably had vaccines other years) vs no vax study. The rate of flu btwn the jabbed and free was VERY similar, BUT the flu shot people had a 5X greater chance of getting respiratory illness like pneumonia, COPD, etc... Ever hear of the Canadian Flu Paradox? That is the now world-wide observation that if you increase the flu shot for a specific group or region or demographic THAT segment will have increased flu the next year. The flu shot INSERT FROM THE MFGR states clearly that the shot does not prevent you from getting influenza! If you get a flu shot with mercury you're a MORON.

May I just point something out here. I am 13 years old and I have never been vaccinated in my life. I am still 100% healthy and I have never had flu or any of the other diseases that these vaccine companies claim to protect you from. Here in the UK, in 2016/17, the influenza vaccine was 'ineffective' in patients over 65. And last year the flu vaccine was something like 87% ineffective in everyone. However, I am not saying vaccines are completely useless. Every year, hundreds or lives are saved in LED (Less Economically Developed) countries because of vaccines. But to the people who go on ranting and raving about how brilliant and effective vaccines are: there are plenty of studies online that show that most of the time, vaccines are ineffective.

wrong. The most prevalent strains of flu pop out each year and those are the vaccinations they provide to people...the most likely ones that begin to circulate. They track the bugs that move within communities and proceed with the vaccinations. Other flu strains exist but don't travel throughout communities as much so the vacs aren't as necessary. This is why you get different flu shots every year...

Full Name you are really not getting this. This is not about a single person. It's about everyone. Think of the Ebola virus outbreak. They had to stop people from flying from one country to another. Did you think that was "abhorrent"? It's the same thing. If someone with the Ebola virus gets on a plane, he spreads it to another country, There was a guy who tried desperately to leave his house when he was quarantined and he was pissed off that the authorities were forcing him to stay inside. He said it wasn't fair to him. Well they forced him to stay inside in quarantine for the safety of everyone else. It' s the same basic principle. It's for the safety of everyone else. These anti-vax people have every right to think and do whatever they want so long as they don't come into contact with anyone else who doesn't share their proclivities.

Jesus. All of the comments (and I scrolled) so far are fully in support of "F**k these f*****g idiots, how dare they?!". Good grief. There is another side to the debate. Why is it so wrong to be against being forced to put something in your body against your will? That's absolutely insane! I don't care what it is, being forced to put something in your body against your will is absolutely reprehensible, especially when it's something like the flu shot. These same hospitals serve horrible food and have fat, uninformed doctors when it comes to nutrition and nobody cares. Yet have someone uncomfy with a forced injection and you all lose your s**t. My husband got a flu shoot because I have a severe chronic illness which affects my immune system. My doctors told me not to have a shot under any circumstances because of the formaldehyde, etc which is in the shot. Once my husband took the shot, he suddenly developed chronic bronchitis and allergies to a very long list of foods including rice, sugar, lecithin, black pepper, chicken, cinnamon, wheat, vinegar, alcohol, and many. many more. He gets huge itchy welts if he even has a taste, and it's been over 2 1/2 years now. He was once a healthy man who has developed COPD issues and his doctor said it was because of the shot. And of course no one knew this BEFORE the shot, just afterwards when it was too late! So I do not support getting flu shots. And the shot itself only deals with one or two kinds of flu, when there are hundreds of different ones. No. Call me what you will, but I would love to not see my husband suffer.

You had a medical doctor tell you that all that is because of a flu shot? Was it Dr. Oz because there is no scientific way he could know that. Are you seeing holistic doctors that told you these things? Just curious because it seems highly suspect that a medical physician would say this. I'm also curious to know what the criteria for the allergy tests were. It's extremely uncommon to be allergic to such a wide set of differing things with no common factor and to say it's all due to the flu shot is odd. What testing and science did they use to prove that it was the shot? What controls did they use? I'm sorry for your husband but this information seems off to me. I'm not trying to be rude but I'm a science person and it's not making sense to me.

The flu shot is in no way mandatory for your daily life. You're not an anti-vaxxer for not wanting to get it. The first and only time my father(40 years old) ever got the flu? When he got the flu shot. I've never had the flu shot before, and in my entire life I've never gotten the flu. The reason this year's flu epidemic was so bad? Because of the fear-mongering that came with it. Everyone going and getting the shot, getting the flu, and running off to the hospital. A normally healthy person with the flu should really only go to the hospital if they're getting too dehydrated. Not because they feel a little flu-ish. Go and see your doctor, sure. But stop creating a super-bug by getting a vaccine that has been proven to only be 17% effective this year before we go through the 1918 flu pandemic all over again.

I came dangerously close to dying from measles age 4 years old in the 1960's. Who would want to be treated by a health worker who was receptive to every virus and disease they came into contact with??

I used to work in a medical facility. We had a few antivaxxers who refused to get the flu shot. The head surgeon made everyone watch footage he had of his time in Hong Kong during the SARS outbreak when 16 of his colleagues died. He had footage of his friends and students critically ill, and footage of the funerals. Everyone got their flu shot, and everyone uses masks and hand sanitiser during flu season.

Why tf would they go work in the medical/healthcare industry? I hope these idiots get caught, fined and jailed for endangering others. (almost) all of these anti-vaxxers got vacinated themselves when they were kids, do they realize that nothing bad happened to them because of it??? This world just keeps on getting more stupid every day. Hopefully this goes viral and that they need an actual proof that you only receive after getting the shot, not just the purchase ticket.

However not everyone can get vaccnat..

..ed due to their age or if they have an immune disorder.

Medical science has proven the efficacy of vaccines. If you want to work in the medical field, accept the value of vaccines and do your part to protect yourself, your family and your patients by getting vaccinated. If you are not willing to be mature, logical and responsible, then get a job in any other field.

the flu vaccine maybe mandatory in hospital worker, but if they don't want the flu shot they can sign the refusal form explaining the risk. They are still given the choice. I myself chose to be vaccinated because so far it works for me and i never have any bad reactions. The picture depicted that she looks like she is more afraid of the needle than the vaccine.

If you are working in any medical field and you are an anti-vaxer, you are both an oxymoron and just a plain moron. I would never want a "medical professional" who is not smart enough to understand how vaccines work, and thinks they are better informed than the 100+ years of evidence to show that vaccines work for 99.9999% of those vaccinated.

These people who don't want to be vaccinated or get an x-ray for it's damaging properties are probably the same people who will eat Twinkies and Doritos while watching The Bachelor. They have no rhyme or reason other than they saw it on Facebook and that's their evidence. My former Father in law died from the flu and both of my parents who are elderly are very susceptible to dying from the flu. My dad spends a lot of time in the hospital because he's got multiple cancers. God help the person who comes to work with the flu and gets either of my parents sick and I find out about it. I will be their worst f*****g nightmare.
