What saddens me about the whole antivaxx movement is that these are the people who have health insurance and can afford to get their kids vaccinated but choose not to. Then you have poor single mothers who can't afford even a check up at the doctor and would gladly vaccinate their children. I think that once it is made known that someone is antivaxx they should lose their health insurance.

Wow, it's almost like measles doesn't kill as many people globally as strep because WE HAVE A VACCINE FOR IT. Plus step and measles are like two completely different kinds of diseases that function completely differently. Oh, and hey, we can VACCINATE FOR ONE OF THEM.

"Vaccines contain mercury, which is a very reactive metal". Yes, which is precisely why the compound in which mercury is found in vaccines is so *stable* and does no harm. The mercury already stuck strongly to other atoms in the compound and does *not* react with the body. It's for the same reason chlorine, a poison gas, and sodium, a metal that burns in air, create inert table salt.

The funny thing about the anti-vaxxer movement that I've noticed: when their kids turn 18 they go and get all those vaccines their parents denied them. Which isn't really all that funny that those people have a terrifying and vilified childhood, but it is funny that as soon as possible they counter-act 2 decades of their parents ignorance.

People don't die of the measles in greater numbers BECAUSE THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE ARE NOT IDIOTS AND ARE VACCINATED. Jeebus. That's like saying, "I don't need to wear a seatbelt because hardly anyone gets thrown from the vehicle any more!" Did you ever think WHY, Karen?! FFS.

Help me understand........ why is it ok for a woman to wear a costume symbolizing a mon carrying a dead child but you guys want to 'eat alive' a woman posing as a measles patient????????. Let's call in Jesus now, so we can show how Christian we are. The fact it is that strep can be cured (for now) with antibiotics. Measles & chicken pox can't. A lot of people just don't realize how dangerous strep is. I nearly had a heart attack when I got a letter from my daughter's pediatrician on a Friday after work telling me that her test was positive. I had to call the emergency number & they said it was a formality to make sure I knew that she had strep & continued on her meds, which of course I already was. But they were making sure I knew since it could take a bad turn. Our grandmothers were so grateful for these vaccines. Seems like she'd be more thankful to Jesus for them.

Stupid bint. And strep DOES move through American schools like wildfire at least once a year. Strep throat is agonizingly painful and requires at least a month's treatment with very heavy duty antibiotics.

The measles versus strep A argument is bogus for many reason, the most logical being that measles does not replace strep A so encouraging measles is not really curative. Moreover, measles wipes out part of your immune system's history and makes you more vulnerable to other infections.

Why do these people exist? Also lately I've noticed that a lot of people who are anti-vaxxers are big Jesus freaks (nothing wrong with Christianity at all). This is just something I noticed

Ah, there's the weekly BP dose of anti-vaxx. It's so refreshing to see BP post about the same goddamn thing over and over and over. Way better than heartwarming animal stories or whatever. The doctor is a f*****g a*****e. I'm quite sure this person genuinely doesn't believe in vaccinations. How does that make her a bad persona and sociopath? I'm quite sure the person doesn't wish harm on anyone. Glad you aren't my doctor because you're heartless.
