Anti-Paparazzi Scarf That Ruins Photos And Makes Flash Photography Impossible

You know what it’s like. You’re super famous. Everybody recognizes you. You can’t even open your front door without stepping into a frenzy of flash photography. We’ve all been there (…). But thanks to this paparazzi-proof privacy scarf, it won’t be easy anymore.

The scarf, called the Ishu, is made from a reflective fabric that emphasizes the camera’s flash so much that everything else in the picture becomes pitch black. The man behind the dazzling concept is Saif Siddiqui, who came up with the idea back in 2009 when one of his photographs was ruined by a bike reflector. 6 years and a bunch of research later he has a mass-production ready model. The cheapest will cost you $268, which is a small price to pay…if you’re a celebrity…

More info: ishu.com (deMilked)

The Ishu anti-paparazzi scarf has become very popular with celebrities such as Paris Hilton

The highly reflective fabric turns everything else black when flash photography is used

Rapper DMX also has one

By using image editing software to adjust simply the brightness and midtones, the blacked out area can always be recovered. anti-papar...d68b07.jpg anti-paparazzi-scarf-flash-photography-protection-ishu-saif-siddiqui-11-577aa89d68b07.jpg

but the photo would lose quality, and if this were actually to be used as an anti-pap line of clothing then not as many photos would hit the papers due to terrible quality.

No flash and increase ISO, not difficult to foot a 300 quid scarf really.

yeah, but if this is to actually be used as an anti-pap clothing, the'd have to know that beforehand. They'd probably still use flash cause they didn't know, and look at their ruined photos later.

It's a publicity stunt to sell the product. Paris Hilton is the shill. Can you say stupid fad?

Who studied photography knows that shooting in auto mode is useful for beginners or for professionals bored .. just working in manual mode by setting the exposure deceiving the meter, as is done in snowy or backlit locations, to send back to the manufacturer scarves and demand repayment!!

This is easily achieved by reflective film. And this is not a novelty fabric. But someone will work well for not knowing))

Silly and stupid since all one has to do is take pictures with flash off

If it works how come they were able to take the photo on the left?

Sorry, but in this world we live in it makes me think of people who may want to avoid cameras and video. Not celebrities.
