I Captured These Animals With My Father’s Old Japanese Film Camera From 1960’s
I grew up in the Italian countryside surrounded by animals and when I discovered my father’s camera in a cupboard (a Japanese 35 mm Miranda from the 60s), I was soon fascinated by it and decided to spend my time photographing dogs, cats, horses and birds I’d come across walking in the nature.
The Animals was my first project and it was published dy Dewi Lewis in 2008. I used my bathroom as darkroom for printing my images.

Load More Replies...I cant believe these photos were made today and not in 60s! Amazing! And that dog is scary! :)
I collect antique cameras. There's nothing special about the age of the camera, as the "secret" is the photographer; not the instrument.
Thanks everybody for your great response to my animals.
I just love old film cameras. My mother used to own one when I was little. I remember running around all around with it.
creepy awesome pictures. also looks like a japanese horror film.... spooky specially the dog
This is a collection of true Photographs. I hope to be able to see more from this artist.
Very intimate work. Wonderful movement and compositions. Feels like I'm there in the moment with the subjects. Thank you!
i thought it was an implied line.... sally and tom f****d me over, 2v1 is unfair but fair and square i guess. 1 all.
