I'm surprised they would be in the open like this. I have deer in my woods and they often take naps in my yard. But when they birth the little fawns, I sometimes see them pass through my yard but they don't have the babies sleep in the open. They take them into the woods.

Absolutely adorable! This happens wher I live it, and I get so worried I think they have been abandoned. but no, mama always comes back for them!

When i'd collapse on the floor during pain episodes, my 13yr old runt cat will come running over and continuously bop his head against mine until i get up. If two animals are fighting he runs in and breaks it up. One time I head a bird outside screaming bloody murder, I go outside and its chick had fallen out the nest, my cat was sitting next to the bird guarding it until I came and lifted it back into the tree (he doesn't know how to hunt or attack or eat living things). Cats are more empathetic and supportive than people give them credit for.

A week before mother broke her leg, a homeless kitty showed up. He would get in the morning, lie by her leg and leave in the evening. The doctor said mother would never ride a bike again. She did. The surgery wound healed super fast thanks to the cat.
