But balancing a social life, a fitness routine, fun activities and learning new skills during the short time we have allotted after work can be overwhelming. Thank you. The "all teenage girls are horrible & crazy" is so unfair, it's beyond frustrating. My daughter is 14 & she was a far bigger handful when she was younger & testing boundaries. Now she's 90% non-drama & has a HEALTHY rebellion! She's rarely disrespectful to others & rolls her eyes at us for completely normal teen-reasons (like using outdated slang)! But she gets this sexist stereotype shoved in her face all the time. Random people in public, extended family, parents of her friends, etc. This narrative is pushed so hard, the kids are set up to fail; so every normal teenage emotion is under a microscope, & the slightest intense feeling is considered an example of their "crazy". I deal with far more adults being awful, selfish, rude, & unnecessarily mean than I ever do teenage girls. Yet when teenage boys loose their sh*t it's considered normal masculine aggressiveness (although they aren't allowed to cry or show sensitivity that can't be easily redefined as some form of anger).

Nope, Nope, Nope!!! The last time I tried to put something together while drinking I had 4 extra screws and a table leg on backwards. Trying to fix my mess the next day with a hangover taught me a valuable lesson, apparently beer goggles work on a whole variety of things and not just for picking up someone in a bar. 😁

My cat Munchie sometimes comes home brushed smooth and smelling like a vanilla-scented cologne. I appreciate that.
Another great benefit of getting your giggle on is the fact that it can reduce anger. It’s very difficult to feel furious and laugh at the same time, so humor is a wonderful way to break tension and stop anger in its tracks. It is very natural that a friend would say that, because our empathy makes it unpleasant to us to hear that somebody we care about is sad. It doesn't help of course, but don't blame those who say it. They don't necessarily mean that you should actually be able to not feel sad, and just don't know what else to say or do.

Always watch out for the person the boss introduces to you on your first day as a “great person, do anything for you type”. That s**t only applies when you’re the boss—-until, of course, they start working on the boss’ boss the exact same way and take their job. If you aren’t in a position to further their career, they will show their real personality, which is the diametric opposite of the facade they show the boss.
