Amsterdam Artist Turns Paper Into Water Resistant Paper Jewelry
Everything is so digital nowadays that normally we use paper only to print, write down stuff or wrap Christmas presents. But what if you could wear paper and it would never fold or damage? Artist based in Amsterdam is creating paper jewelry in a way that it becomes as hard as plastic and you can wear it forever.
Using quilling technique – a 16th century art method – artist is folding the paper in small pieces, connects them together and covers with a special hardening varnish. The result is magnificent. Paper colors are preserved and you can wear an actual real paper on your neck.
