This is one of my favorite photos I took. After returning to the U.S from Hungary, I got into photography. My cousin gifted me a DSLR camera and I was practicing with it every day by taking random shots and learning the functions. One of the places I visited often was the Corkscrew Sanctuary.
The day I took this photo, I was on my way out of the Sanctuary because of the rain. I didn’t want to risk getting my equipment wet, but I couldn’t resist taking an up-close shot of this gator when I saw it. Fortunately for me, my mom was with me during this trip. She held a magazine above my camera while I was taking photos of the gator. The timing was perfect for everything, the up-close shot of the gator with the raindrops came out really great!
