Communication plays a significant role in our everyday life; we use words to express our fear, anger, happiness, sadness and, perhaps, disgust. It’s the basis of human interaction. Without communication, our lives would’ve been much duller, and we’d never be able to read people’s feelings. However, there’s also an unspoken but a pretty intriguing part to our communication: our body language. The way we walk, our facial expressions, voice tones, etc. – every little movement could let our peers dig deeper into our inner emotions.

Now, many are familiar with the ongoing Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial. The case remains to be the number one discussion topic among netizens, but for those who have been living under a rock – Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over the op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post in 2018.

Every supporter is eager to know the truth, and a body language expert called Janine Driver, once again, took the matter into her own hands and analyzed Amber Heard’s recent testimony. Moreover, Bored Panda has already covered Janine’s previous examination concerning both Depp and Heard, so click here if you’re interested to learn more.

Janine Driver is a New York Times best-selling author and an award-winning speaker. The woman spent over 16 years working as a federal law enforcement officer, and is now focused on sharing her “people-reading” skills with the world. Driver has previously examined the physical behavior of both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard – however, she was once again invited by Court TV to share her opinions regarding Amber Heard’s recent testimony.

Gestured signals are crucially important, as they can help determine the person’s true emotions

Whether you choose to believe in the body language phenomenon or not, understanding what hides behind a masked individual is not an easy job. There are many misconceptions regarding the people-reading process, for instance, every country has its own set of gestures and mannerisms, so what might seem like a misleading body signal could mean a completely normal thing to a person outside of your culture.

Nevertheless, the whole world is watching the seemingly never-ending trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. The couple has an uneasy history together and their fans are hoping that this lawsuit will be able to clear the air, and let the ex-lovers finally move on from such an exhausting period of their life.

Janine Driver begins her analysis by examining Heard’s first statement; at the very beginning, the actress shared her thoughts regarding the lawsuit and even mentioned that this process is the most “painful and difficult” thing she’s ever gone through – Driver says that at the end of that sentence, Amber has sucked in her lip, sort of replicating a similar motion that we did when we sucked our thumbs, revealing that it’s a comforting gesture.

The body language expert says that Amber Heard uses a lot of start-stop sentences, meaning that she’s being deceptive

Another issue with Amber’s testimony is that she uses a lot of start-stop sentences. The body language expert says that this type of structure is congruent with someone who’s being misleading. The woman also mentioned that Heard’s “percentages” are off, which basically means that she’s very talkative at the beginning, yet when it comes to the actual incident she barely says a thing. For instance, Driver has mentioned the infamous case of Jussie Smollett, who happened to stage a hate crime in Chicago in 2019. His percentages were similar to Amber’s and they both gave a lot of irrelevant information.

Janine says that liars often give a ton of truthful information at the start, to sort of distract the people from the actual events. When Amber Heard started speaking about the attack, she gets to about 15%, when in reality it should’ve been at least 50%, which is why the body language experts says that she’s simply stacking the deck.

Janine Driver mentions that Heard has dropped a pronoun when she spoke about her former husband, which suggests that the information is false

Moreover, the expert also analyzed her actual statement. At one point, when the actress was talking about the attack, she said “he slapped me” – however, Janine encouraged everyone to re-listen to the clip because what Amber actually does is, she drops the pronoun and says “slapped me” instead. The body language specialist reveals that when people drop or change the pronouns it, once again, means that the individual is being deceptive. Besides, Heard is also guilty of changing her tenses, which is often a mistake that those who make stories up on the spot do.

Although, when Heard gave a statement regarding one of Depp’s unpleasant comments, the expert believed it to be true

The next part of the analysis was focused on Amber Heard’s description of one of Depp’s comments which made the woman feel “dirty”. The professional believes that this part is truthful, she says that when Heard talks about the unpleasant remarks that her former husband made, her upper lip comes up, which shows disgust, plus, the overall body language and her voice tone make it all congruent. Though, the problem is that when she talks about the attack, the body language and the story isn’t harmonious.

Moreover, the actress was also noticed holding her nose up high, and Driver said that when people do that, it portrays their confidence, superiority, arrogance and indignation. These qualities are totally out of place for an abused woman, meaning that it’s pure smugness.

The specialist says that the reason why Depp kept his head down was because he wanted to “alleviate that negative feeling”

When it comes to Johnny, during Heard’s testimony, his head was facing the table and he never seemed to make the eye contact with his former partner. Janine Driver says that the actor does it to ease the negative feeling. Moreover, the body language expert mentioned that people who break eye contact are usually the ones who have been abused.

The victims will often avoid eye contact all together. Janine revealed that many people have this common misconception about the eye avoidance, thinking that the individual is being deceptive. However, when folks do that it’s mostly connected with the fact that they simply want to avoid listening to the person’s “obnoxious”, as Janine said, talk.

The defamation case is far from being done, and we’re yet to hear all the details regarding the Depp-Heard relationship, but what do you think about the situation so far? Do you agree with what the body language expert has said?

This isn't admissible in court - which is why neither of them have called such an expert to the stand. All the same it IS interesting and whilst I did believe Heard at the start (why wouldn't I?) I am finding it difficult to look upon her as anything but a liar now. I read that part of her testimony is a direct, word for word, quote from a film. I can't say whether that's true or not but I believe she's made up the attacks she 'suffered' as some kind of revenge. Although this happens in a tiny number of cases it DOES happen and I think that's what we're witnessing. She has hurt the man, his career and the cause of all people, most especially women, who suffer from domestic abuse. For decades to come abusers will point at this case and say they are being unfairly abused..

As a victim of domestic violence myself, this case enrages me. We are absolutely not believed because too many women use it to get revenge on their ex, thus f*****g the rest of us over. I saw maybe 10 minutes of just Johnny Depps testimony myself and saw myself in him. This was not mutual domestic violence. I believe Mr. Depp is the sole victim and she is still victimizing him in court. Like unless she destroys him, she won't be satisfied.

Without knowing too much about body language, watching her testimony gave me the feeling that she wasn't being honest. It just felt fake. I wonder, while watching her testify, if the jury is getting the same feeling.

I have two comments. First I do believe that there was drug use and drinking on Depp's part. He has never denied that he drank and did drugs, Even going so far as to list the drugs he had done. Second, I'm puzzled as to why Amber heard never sought medical attention never went to the emergency room never reported anything all these times he supposedly did these things to her. If if someone tried to cut me in the vagina with a bottle I believe I would seek medical attention. To quote Shakespeare--- "There is something rotten in the State of Denmark"!

I was married to a narcissist and I was abused and from what I have seen Heatd has a personally disorder alright. She is a narcissist. Narcissist push and push your buttons until they bring out the worst in you and then play the victim. They lie to everyone about everything and once you see what they are doing you will never forget what it looks like. And Heard is lying and everything this lady said is correct. Research Narcissist and you will see it too.

So now you're pushing the very extremely harmful idea that all victims must be perfect and act the same?? This is horrible to say to survivors. Everyone acts differently to abuse. You can't put survivors in a box like that. It sends a horrible message. Victims do not have to be perfect nor do they have to act like you nor do they have to have a photographic memory. This is why so many rapists are found not guilty bc the victim didn't act victimmy enough. Horrible thing to say. I'm a survivor and I didn't cry when I was on the stand and my abuser used that against me. They used the fact that I wore a pink dress shirt against me bc he wore one earlier in the week. This has to stop.

There is a disclaimer up at the top of this post about whether or not you believe body language experts, so take it with a grain of salt. Having said that, no, I don't believe her. I believe that Depp may have been verbally abusive, that part I can see, but not physically, not with evidence against her. He is the one suing her for defamation, anyone who was the abuser, especially one as famous as he is, wouldn't bother knowing that every dirty secret could come out to wreck his career. She's already said things that have been proven to be lies, and one thing I do believe with this body language reader is when she gives percentage numbers, I've seen it lots in real life, people who tell lies stretch before and afterwards when telling their version but the event itself is rather short. Lastly, this comes from just watching her myself: for an actress, she's really bad at it. She's trying to cry, and definitely failing at it.

She is also correct in the way the abuser and the abused act. I know from experience as a battered wife, Amber was definitely the aggressor here. Johnny was the victim. I still won't look my ex husband in the eye even though we've been divorced for 16 years. If we didn't share a child, I'd make damn sure to never even be in the same room as him.

I believe she's just an extraordinarily vindictive person. She tried to ruin him with the restraining order and the divorce but he was still working at least a little so it didn't destroy him enough. So she cosigned that article to try to put the final nail in coffin to completely destroy him. I truly see no other reason that this man would put all his stuff out there and embarrass himself with the info that he even shared about himself if he wasn't actually innocent and desperate to clear his name. I also feel like someone who's been in the public eye since the '80s didn't all of a sudden become a woman beater in his 50-60s.

Well, his anger issues, drug and alcohol abuse have been well known for years. I do think it's telling that his ex gf, Ryder, spent a small fortune to get the statement she made about Depp never being abusive nullified. It seems to have coincided with being "called out" about comments printed from an interview years ago, stating her "first bf" (who everyone knows was Depp) would go into rages and "smash everything". Another ex, Jennifer Grey, just commented a few days ago that he was "insanely jealous" during their relationship. And of course, the arrests when he was with Kate Moss, for flying into rages and destroying hotel rooms; accusations by Ellen Barkin (yet another ex) etc. He is not quite the victim his male and female fangirls wish him to be. But then again, I don't think she either--- it seems far too unlikely she suffered the level of physical abuse she's claiming, or that she never was iolent, or emotionally foul towards him too. I think they're both liars and drug abusers.

I don’t believe you. Do you know that pathological liars can fake emotions and body language? Ever hear of Ted Bundy, Ted Kaczynski? They are faked concern as well. Same as the parents or spouses that kill. Chris Watts, The Wells brothers adopted parents and on and on. Have you watched her micro expressions as those she can’t fake and I’ve seen smirks, contempt, shoulder shrugs, etc. She also looks to the right which means she isn’t recalling a memory but a lie! How can anyone defend an admitted abuser who admitted it on tape with evidence! She has yet to produce one piece of evidence except hearsay and her lies! No physical proof, no medical evidence, no fear of him, etc. What she has done is cheat on him which she’s admitted to as have the people she’s cheated with Franco and Musk whose marriages she’s ruined and most recently her co-star Jason M marriage. What she does is use people to get what she wants and doesn’t care about the collateral damage she leaves in her wake!

I don't disagree with your general opinion of Amber Heard, she doesn't seem to be a very nice person, but I disagree that she can ruin anyone's marriage, except perhaps her own; the one's responsible for ruining Franco's and Musk's marriages is them! They cheated on their spouses and ruined their own marriages, and if not with her, it would have probably been with someone else. But I do agree that she doesn't seem a very likeable person. Just my own opinion about the marriages.

Non verbal communication is just as important (if not more) than verbal (in my opinion. Your mouth can say what your mind tells it to. Your body however is reacting without forethought (unless previously observed by another and intentionally corrected for “acting “ purposes. Breathing patterns, intentional or unintentional motion, color, smells, etc all play a role in information sharing with individuals or groups. I have never watched a n Amber or Johnny movie, so am not a fan of either. I can tell you from personal experience that Ms Herd seems to mix a lot of unimportant truths with a few key lies, whilst Mr Depp seemed to be brutally honest even when it puts him in an unfavorable light. So when you get past the “scripted” testimony, what’s left to judge but what cannot be practiced…the intangibles, the unspoken. Another point I may have missed…has Mr. Depp EVER had another woman come forward with these claims? Addiction has relatively predictably consistent behaviors.

I don't really buy into body language. Although I do tend to avoid eye contact with those who I don't particularly care for but who doesn't. HOWEVER I don't believe Amber Heard. So I believe he could have said some rude or hateful or derogatory things to her, absolutely. We are all guilty of using our words to inflict pain onto others to some degree or another. But as but as a, and I hate this word, victim of both domestic & sexual abuse and having worked with many who are there's something in her words, in her behavior I don't know just something that does not add up. No matter if you've been abused once or if it's was years of continual abuse this woman has more rage and vindictivness than trauma. Sure rage is apart of it but that's all their is with her. It gives the impression that she just wanted to hurt him and get back at him for not bending to her will and not completely changing who he was to fit her vision of what she deemed acceptable. She wants to hurt him for being huma

You ever got a gut feeling? That's because only 20 % of our communication is verbal, 80 % is nonverbal. And you've mostly have a good instinct about the nonverbal communication. Experts just can NAME what seems off. I'm not sure about Johnny Depp, I believe they both lie. But something about Amber Heards seems nonverbally off. Like she always makes a horrible face or at least try to always look like she feels horrible even if the corner of her mouth lifts in a small smile. Perhaps that's what her lawyers told her to do but it make her look fake.

They’re BOTH actors, so we may be getting Oscar-worthy performances from both of them. This might all hinge on hard evidence, like witnesses and ER visits with injuries that look like they’re from an attack—-things doctors are trained to look for, btw. It’s also not out of the realm of possibility that there just about equal fault on both sides. Creative types tend can be highly emotional (it’s their stock in trade), and sometimes those high emotions can be negative.

The other thing about this case is that it is absolutely Appalling that it's open for Everyone to watch live. People are judging domestic abuse here, there's 'hilarious' memes out there regarding domestic violence and the sexual violence. I survived both and more from my ex-husband but my Gods this case makes me feel sick. Regardless of the victim or perpetrator, the only thing I Know for certain about Heard and Depp is that they had an exceptionally volatile relationship and brought out the worst of each other. Whatever the outcome of this case it will be highly damaging to survivors of domestic abuse everywhere and the Internet will pull apart the winner/loser regardless.

I believe the expert on the body language. I also would like to comment that in my experience with people who often tell lies it can be difficult with some because they often "believe their own lies". These are people that actually can begin to convince themselves that they are the victim because there is something that made them feel this way and the lies are no longer lies to them. I suppose to be able to get others to believe they are the victim by actually believing that themselves which I have seen done. Especially over time.

The picture she tried to paint of herself as this charitable person working with deaf kids when she was growing up (but really it was so she didn't have to be at home); and the way she kept trying to drag his kids into her part of the story.....if she had been doing a scene in a movie, I would have walked out of the theater.. Twice her lawyer had to prompt her on things she wanted to make sure the jury heard ("oh yeah, I forgot about that ") .. About the bruised arm photo....She says he grabbed her arm, and she couldn't even remember how many times he hit her in the face, and yet she took a picture of the bruise on her arm to show her mom? This brings to mind the comment Johnny Depp made about having to restrain her in order th keep her from hitting him. These are horrendous causation she is making, and if they are not true then yes by all means "let's burn her" for the witch that she is

I disagree with the "current tense". Not all people who use current tense lie. I do this all the time. For me, it's because when I talk about the past, it's like mentally I am in the same place again. And that makes me slip current tense words. It's more to do with not having let go of the past. As if it is happing right now all over again.

Yeah, she's talking about what is sometimes called 'the dramatic present tense' i.e. using present verbs to relate an event that happened in the past. It is not indicative of the truthfulness of a story, she's completely wrong about that. It's a function and well-documented part of the English language - an English speaker would be unusual to not switch to present verbs when narrating something that happened to them.

Another thing I want to add to my previous comment are where are the witnesses like the "flight attendant who was in tears after seeing Depp abuse Heard" or a plastic surgeon Heard would have gone to for treatment of a broken nose because her face is her income?? Where are the medical exams for an assault with a bottle in the vagina or testimony from any of the people she claims saw him abuse her? The evidence is lacking for pretty much anything other than the fact Depp is addicted to substances and alcohol and that they had a highly toxic relationship.

I've never heard such rubbish regarding the mixing up of past and present tense! I do it all the time from illness getting all mixed up. I don't suck my lip in for a comforting gesture either. I'm neuro divergent, a lot of stuff I do, say, represent isn't the norm. I sincerely hope that people don't use this 'evidence' against others. There's a reason why this type of "expertise" and lie detectors aren't allowed in UK courts.

Did anyone happen to see the video of Heard doing a bump of something she put on a handkerchief and then snorts it up her nostril and then wipes her nose and keeps snorting for a few seconds afterwards? It was definitively clear what she was doing. No question. It's appalling that she would do that in a court of law. Doesn't even excuse herself to the bathroom! It just goes to show more of her absurd character flaws. What does that body language tell us??

To be clear, you are saying that Amber Heard took an illegal drug during a televised and widely watched trial against her in a court of law? Do you think that is more plausible than, say, her wiping her nose with a handkerchief during a televised and widely watched trial against her in a court of law?

I can tell you as a survivor of domestic violence, this woman is lying through her teeth. She has no traits, habits or characteristics of someone who had been through domestic violence. She isn't a good enough actress to fake it either. Even if he did say mean things to her, she also said and did things to him. Yes, this is a type of verbal abuse, but not so bad as to try and ruin someone's life. She is making it hard on real survivors of domestic violence.

As a childhood survivor of Dv, SA and trafficking her claiming to be a victim is traumatized me again because hearing her in the tapes is exactly what I was told and is why he wouldn’t look at her as it takes you right back to the dark place no matter how long it’s been. Now being a pathological liar body language is BS aeb Ted Bundy, Ted Kaczynski, parents or spouses that have killed their children ie the laundries, Chris Watts, John W Gacy, etc. You can fake fear, stress, etc especially when you are a manipulative, narcissist(my ex was just like her everything was always my fault and the tables were always turned and he ended up the victim somehow)! People with borderline and histrionic personality disorders do these types of behaviors because they have no empathy! Look at the wreckage of ruined relationships she’s left in her wake and has no regret for it as long as she got ahead. The latest was Jason M marriage and he admitted it! She is a admitted DV abuser!

Come on! Of course it's credible . Even a person on the street can tell if someone is believable we all use our experiences of other people's facial expressions, tone of voice, sneers, arrogance and hyperbole to assess other people and we are usually right

As APL has pointed out, that's not what "credible" means. Also be careful with "and we are usually right" - this is confirmation bias. Times when you guess right make you think you're onto something, times where you guess wrong are ignored and forgotten. But in both cases, it's just a guess.

This is a case of "he said/she said" and unfortunately, neither of them come out of this unscathed or a " winner". From my own experience, it is very believable Depp was abusive while under the influence of drugs and alcohol, since my husband was also a "Jeckyll-Hyde" while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Both of these individuals have their versions of what happened during the course if their marriage, and are both to blame for it "turning sour" between them. It really is immaterial who did or said what during the marriage, the marriage is over and so it is better for BOTH of them to let it go, move on with their lives, snd allow the healing process to begin, AWAY from the public eye!

I am a survivor of domestic abuse and sexual assault and I can say with all certainty that Amber Heard is a liar through and through. I have also worked with abuse survivors of all age groups over the last 20 years. Abuse survivors are TERRIFIED to be in the same building as their abuser much less in the same room no matter how many people are present because it is too triggering and creates panic attacks for the victim. Do we see this? No. Amber turns to the jury on her right every time she acts emotional to play to their sympathies (and yes it is all an act.) Another point of interest is her change in appearance. Her hair, clothes, make up and even fake eyelashes have been perfectly put together as an observer but now that she's on the stand her hair is loose, minimal eye make up, no fake lashes and extra blush on cheeks to heighten her color. She changed her appearance to give an impression of youthful innocence and vulnerability. It's an old trick lawyers utilize for jury sympathy.

Body language experts? Yeah okay. If they have such expertise, then they should know what actors do for a living and/or how educated people work the system by portraying certain aspects, pretending they don't know about said aspects, and look like it's an honest action. It's how people get prescriptions, jobs or manipulate people.

Why are the people who are saying Depp isn't innocent either getting down voted?... IMO both of them seem like they abused each other as their therapist stated..that being said Heard's story is full of holes and Depp seems a little arrogant.....and the main problem was that his career suffered and hers didn't....and all the Depp supporters should calm down a bit...maybe he is innocent..maybe he isn't we don't really know and probably won't ever know.....also not everyone reacts the same way in a situation..saying I didn't do this or I would do this just to claim Heard is lying is absurd....but ultimately only the two of them know exactly what went down between them

First I'd like to ask where was the proof reader before this went to print? It is very poorly written. Most of the article, however, seems basically correct. The only part that I find questionable is that it states that Heard was "holding her nose up high...when people do that, it portrays their confidence, superiority, arrogance and indignation. These qualities are totally out of place for an abused woman, meaning that it’s pure smugness". I don't know that it's "totally out of place for an abused woman". If it has broken her & completely reduced her self esteem & self worth, then yes. But if a woman retains those things then indignation & confidence would remain. If she believes that the man was had no right to abuse her, is angry about it, losses respect for him & thinks him less of a human for it, then seeing confidence, arrogance & superiority in her would be appropriate. The author implies that she should be humbled & diminished by it. Some put the blame where it belongs.

When I was 18 I went through this same situation (minus the drugs and alcohol) . I was dragged through the courts and was subjected to hours of accusations and humiliation as the girl I was previously in a relationship with lied and spun her story as though I was the abuser. I see the same looks and mannerisms in Heard as my abuser used. That exact same 'im an innocent victim' look switching to expressions of anger and hate at will. I was lucky, I had evidence of my abuse and fortunately the courts ruled in my favour, evenso it took another 6.months to get her out of my life many are not that lucky. Up until now all I've had to remind me are the scars she left me with and faded memories, that was until I watched AH on the stand. Since then I've had hardly any sleep, I'm wrestlers and on edge. Because if this I'm not watching any more of this trial, as interested as I am I am not going to watch another person be persecuted by their abuser purely so they can inflict more pain.

Body language experts are in the same category as a lie detector test. Both are full of holes and can't possibly account for how complicated humans are. I don't understand why this needs to be explained in 2022. Just because it's called science and someone studied it doesn't mean it's worth the pot it is pissed in. Using law enforcement being trained in it is such a low argument. They are not a group of people to look to when statically they are horrible at their jobs to the point of incompetence.

The whole percentage argument is unreliable. If someone feels something is 75% but others see it as 25%... what does that tell you? It's about the one person's perception, not everyone else's -- or even the actual facts. It's how she feels about it. Try again, Expert.

I grew up in a family of alcoholics with a couple of drug users thrown in. Not one of the alcoholics was ever violent when drunk, not even when they were blackout drunk. Only one of the drug users was violent but he wasn't a nice man when he was sober. Our experiences prove that everyone is different and don't all act the same when under the influence. Did you forget that when Johnny smashed those cabinets he'd just found out his mom died? And that Amber could be heard mocking him for it?

Hmmm. I can see a lot of folks are divided on the whole "body language" topic. Professional interviewers (formerly known as interrogators) in all four major branches of the military, as well as the FBI, CIA, and local law enforcement are put through courses on kinesics, or the study of body language. However, this is not the end-all, be-all of their training. They're also trained on what people say, how they say it, and what phrasing they use... ...I'm just hoping that the judge presiding over this case has had some forms of those training, as well, or else Ms Heard might actually convince them that she's right...

The thing about body language is that it might be able to tell you someone is feeling stressed or anxious but it cannot tell you WHY. I'm not at all saying that Amber Heard wasn't the aggressor (because I believe she was) BUT this "expert" explaining why people don't make eye contact is WAY OFF. It's not (always) about "this person is obnoxious". Often it is discomfort about a topic, fear of judgement, embarrassment or shame around an assault. There's a lot of conjecture on the "experts" part that I have a hard time believing, especially because of her statement about an abuse victim thinking their abuser is simply "obnoxious ". No ma'am. Not at all. Try again.

Because everyone is entitled to their " day in court", and they don't use polygraph/ lie detectors because they are extremely unreliable; there is no way to know 100% if the person is just nervous, and telling the truth, or if they are actually lying; law enforcement only uses them as a guage to assess someone's willingness to cooperate( by taking the test), and as a tool to check their own gut instincts. A sociopath, or psychopath, can likely lie and pass the test because it measures things like heart rate, which we can't really control, and usually will increase when we are lying, from fear, or guilt, but because a sociopath feels no guilt, the machine is unlikely to detect any change in the heart rate, that would show in the average person. The machine only detects changes in breathing(I think?)and heart rate, not whether or not someone is actually lying, and therefore the results are inadmissible in a court of law, in the U.S. I hope that helps.

I'm not any body language expert but from what I've observed, I also felt the part with Johnny's comments on her dress and other actresses was right, maybe he have said that to her. But the rest of her testimony, I had a sensation she's avoiding, inventing and practically lying about the incidents. I used my instinct and also my own experience, as I've been abused for seven years by my ex. This woman is portraying herself as a victim of abuse, but I don't believe her.

I have watched several videos and I can tell you she is lying. All her demeanour is fake. Besides, things she did do not sound like a victim. She uses words like "deck him", "swang at him". Sounds violent to me. She bought him a knife - this would be after the alleged violence would have started - I do not see a victim doing that. It would not have occured to me. She indeed talks very little about the attacks but gives lots of details, talks about irrevelant things, talks about how he allegedly abused other women. I want to hear about what he did to her not what he allegedly done to others or a room or her stuff. She basically has nothing. But honestly anyone listening all the testimonies cannot think she is telling the truth. We have the same instinct or radar. If you believe her then you did not watch the trial (reading news articles will not give you a full idea) We had several people who witnessed when she was aggressive and even violent towards him. I cannot brush this away.

This 'expert' is full of it. I use stop start sentences. I do this when it is important that I get my precise meaning across and want to be as accurate as possible. I may pause to recollect something or to carefully choose my words, because a poor word choice could be misinterpreted. It's truly problematic that such pseudoscience is taught to law enforcement and held up as a credible means of determining the truth of someones testimony. In order for this to carry weight and be considered a scientific means of evaluation, it should produce provable, consistant results. Prisions are full of people convicted through use of this type of pseudoscience and the numbers of people being exonerated by DNA and other evidence should be enough to show just how reliable such means of evaluation really aren't.

We can not forget the fact that only the day before she took the stand she tried to get the trial thrown out; that says to me that she was desperate not to have to testify because she knows she is perjuring herself in front of the entire world and the financial reparations won’t be the only issue she has if her lies are disproven. If I was a victim of the sorts of violence she has alleged took place, I would be wanting to make sure I wasn’t made out to be a liar, particularly if I was in the public eye, but instead she tried to run away from taking the stand. Her lawyers clearly instructed her to make the claims as graphic as possible (eg, the glass bottle story), because they know things are not looking good for her, they have very little to back up her claims and some jurors could potentially be taken in by the stories the more disturbing they sound. God, I hope these jurors are smart. She has smeared a man’s reputation.

A woman here in fla killed her child, she got away with that because they let the lawyers have laptops inside to guide her lawyer because he had never done that type of work. She walked it was proven she did it but they used the public opinions outside to guide the questioning. She walked and left him with a big bill he hasn't been paid for. Amber Heard is a sociopath. It’s impossible not to see the affectations that she employs to hide the utter lack of evidence that supports her story. She has concocted a narrative and supports it with photographs and recordings that she connived to add substance to her fiction, none of them verifiable as to time or circumstance. It shows premeditation of intent to damage Depp’s reputation at a time when she could have been creating a real record of abuse by simply going to the E.R.

The truth is simple, both these people are abusive and have been abused. They are also both utterly disgusting people and do not deserve our attention nor admiration. Johnny has been a little douche for years and finally met his match in the form of Amber.

I wonder if she did that kind of analysis with Deep interview. He had a lot moystops and starts, a lot less details or substance in his testimonirsyand took forever just today few words. Very noticeable he was gaining toyti make up his story. He couldn't even look to people when talking. That means you are hiding & making stuff. A lot of laugh & smiles, guy is not serious but mocking & amused. That is not the posture of any abused person. This called expert is completely biased and is other title to manipulate people s mind.

It's turned the courts in Hollywood a joke. Micheal Jackson did molest two boys proven they wrote a book. Just because he was who hecwas and his money and public opinion he walked high as a kite. The list goes on, so here cones Johnny Depp doing exactly what he says happened to gim ridiculing her etc, he's no Saint but he lost the first trial at divorce, he wasn't upset about the divorce he was outraged because it hurts his po ketbook. Any judge worth their salt would throw out the peoplecthere who finds this funny. And she's no Saint either whether this ended clearly or later doesn't matter. It's hard to testify on public about your personal victimization, he turned his into the bestt role of his life he was egotistical its all about him. She is no Saint either, but this needs to be private not a circus. All of the public should be dismissed and then see what happens t h en

The fbi nevercgoescsolely by body language. I was a battered wife, I grew up a battered child cseverely abused. My parent worecthree piece suits to work a navy vet UDT back in rhe day. To all people outside of the family we looked okay. It takes a lot of energy and self control to hide abuse. Whether you've been it a little while or a lot. People judge us by our image, and when I turned my parents in my own sister who suffered before me refused to testify, she couldn't do it. They the left the state. I spent my childhood dealing with trying to tell being told ibwas a liar by the teachers. By the neighborhood by my own family these people in Hollywood are like those old gossip columnist they think.they can control the outcome if they get involved. Johnny Depp is a man who unlikecwhat you think he is says he was abused but most abusers have been. It's all about image, he's worried about his image but more his pocketbook. He is notorious for tearing his trailer , fighting in bars drugs

I'm neuro divergent, a lot of stuff I do, say, represent isn't the norm. I sincerely hope that people don't use this 'evidence' against others. I can tell you as a survivor of domestic violence, this woman is lying through her teeth. She has no traits, habits or characteristics of someone who had been through domestic violence. She isn't a good enough actress to fake it either. Even if he did say mean things to her, she also said and did things to him. People with borderline and histrionic personality disorders do these types of behaviors because they have no empathy!

From experience, she's not being truthful. I have no dought they both can be visious with their mouths. But if the abuse started so early why didn't she leave and report it to the police? If the abuse was as severe as she says ,I believe she would have called the police period.

Made the news because an obsessed and physically and sexually abusive rich and well positioned, in his industry, man - J. D. - had his PR machine spin the story and infect the media with his version. Depp is also the one who wanted the lawsuit televised, to inflict even more abuse on his ex wife.

But Hollywood feeds that into the public, now it's too much information air all out onstage. They need to in Hollywood courts who deal with stars put a sign outside that says in this court leave your egos, cameras, fans, computers, most of the media outside period.

Depp is an abusive piece of c**p. The trial has shown more and more of his lies and that Amber was right.
