Aurora Borealis In Lapland From February This Year
Aurora Borealis is the most beautiful natural thing I've experienced.
Definitely worth taking a trip to Lapland - even just for the snow and the experience of submerging yourself into a pile of snow after sauna. x3
Hate to break it to you guys, but February was 4 months ago... this was uploaded to a wallpaper website 7 months ago.
Well, yeah, most of these travel photo submissions are lifted from elsewhere

And also such cruelty, especially to animals. Never could reconcile that....
Load More Replies...The clouds are pink because of the sunlight (probably sunset) and the snow is really blossoms (Japan is famous for their cherry blossoms).
Load More Replies...I have a feeling that the people of Japan are as amazing as their landscapes.
Avenue Of The Baobabs, Madagascar
When I was a kid, I always thought the trees on the Oregon Coast were these, because when they're right on the coast, they're windblown into positions and they're more sparse than other trees, so their branches look similar to these tree tops.
Beautiful place though despite my apparent illiteracy

With the pandemic-induced travel restrictions finally behind our backs (let’s hope for good!) and summer up and rolling, you probably have a couple of travel destinations already on your list. There are just too many places to visit, as we’ve seen from this post, and the chances are one lifetime will not be enough.
But starting earlier rather than later is a good idea, and if you’re about to set out on an adventure, you may find this interview with Katie Donnelly, professional photographer based in Paris and author of “The Authentic Portrait: A Parent's Guide to Documenting Childhood,” very useful. We spoke about everything from traveling to perfect vacation photos. Because no matter how beautiful an adventure may be while it's still happening, we always wish to bring a piece of it back home. And photographs are the best way to do that.
Iceland
Actually seeing the layers of the planet is bonkers. Just a tad too high for me though! :-D
Norway
My sister and her husband are photographers in the lofoten islands and their pics make me envious of their locale
Colors, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
Amazing place. 16 lakes connected by waterfalls, and each lake with the water in a different hue. Maybe one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
Not that much honestly. I was there and the colour of water is indeed this blue. And the autumn colours looks fine to me too.
Load More Replies...“Traveling and adventures are amazing and it only gets better when you can go home and relive it all daily. For so many of our amazing clients, Paris is a dream destination that they want to relive daily. To have a beautiful photograph and art piece of themselves, enjoying the city, is something that brings them back every day,” Donnelly told us.
Lofoten, Norway
I just spent a week here (actually not far from where this picture was taken), can confirm it is amazing.
Tuscany, Italy
A lot of places in Italy casually look that classy, seemingly without effort or intention, but it's just millenia of patient and crafty landscape building.
Northern Lights In Tromso, Norway
God it's pretty, but how crowded is it?(asking for a friend)
How do they go about their business with that above them all winter? So magnificently beautiful!
Travel is also something we want to share with our loved ones, she argues. “We can do that through having professional photos done or even sharing snaps from our phones via social media. Especially now that people are inclined to travel more than in the last few years, they really want to share the joy and freedom they're feeling on vacation and in a city they absolutely love.”
Magical Sunset, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
Saitama Japan
Again with oversaturation. Please... they are so beautiful without the need for burning our retinas. ;-; HanamiSait...c1f331.jpg
Kirkjufell, Iceland Putting On A Light Show
It’s no secret that getting holiday photographs you will be truly happy with is one hell of a task. Donnelly argues that although vacations are amazing, they can also be stressful, “and I hate to say it, but not everyone is great at taking photos in general.” She explained: “Most people are a little awkward in front of the camera and it always helps to have some direction. When it's just selfie after selfie, they're fun, but it can get repetitive (and let's be honest, if kids are in there, have you ever asked a kid to smile a bunch of times? Usually it ends up with some sort of crazy smile or a straight up 'no.' Haha).”
Bangkok, Thailand
A Beautiful Beach, Seychelles
Meteora, Greece
why - safety mostly, religious reasons secondly, how - brute force and human ingenuity))
Load More Replies...i looked it up. there are loads of little precariously perched monasteries in that region of greece. many have just little lanes, roads, paths, etc. to reach them. some only with rickety looking cable cars and what looks like an ancient elevator. there's even one literally into the side of one of these rock formations. super cool. i guess if you really wanted to isolate and live a monastic life, that'll do it.
on the one hand this is amazing. on the other hand i feel bad for whoever post-man has to deliver the mail to this place o.o
Actually some of the monasteries are accessible by road now , a few others used to lower down baskets with ropes for provisions and mail. Of course accessing to those monasteries was done by a sort of primitive elevator (ropes and baskets)
Load More Replies...originally, according to wikipedia, by a basket attached to a rope wound up by a windless. In the 1920s they cut pathways and stairs into the rocks.
Load More Replies...Moreover, travel and exploring often make for long days and lots of walking. “Even if it's only adults in the mix, it can be exhausting, but add any kids and/or jet lag, and it'll be the perfect recipe for a 'not another photo!' feeling.”
According to Donnelly, the best thing you can do is hire a local photographer for a portrait session to show you around the most beautiful locations and whose personality, style, and vibe you love. “You know that you'll 1. have a great time with them, and 2. get amazing photos from your portrait session that are natural and fun. Then it takes all the pressure off of the rest of the trip because you know you've got 'the shot.'”
“Another reason I think it's so hard is that often the main tourist attractions are packed with people. If you go with a local photographer, they should be able to recommend the best times and spots to avoid all the crazy,” she added.

Idk... it looks beautiful, but the idea of a landslide would terrify me. It happened in my current town when due to a lot of rain and a burst pipe from the church (iirc anyway) the cliffs above town started crumbling away, and because the cemetery is on top of the cliffs, some people even ended up with remains in their gardens. xP (dont worry, all were reinterred)

Where in Germany? And why this detour? totally unnecessary. (I am from germany)
Hills often look less steep in photos and the snow makes it harder to see the definition so might be that. Or maybe one of the car testing roads or something?

Reminds me if the christkindlmarkt in Stuttgart Germany. My dad was stationed there in 96-98. I loved going
Most of these are in Europe, and I really want to go there. I don't know what season though, but I could go for a whole year.
Toscana, Iithaly
Dunnottar Castle, Scotland
Northern Scotland has without a doubt some of the most breathtaking places in the world, really hope I can visit one day!
Dunnottar Castle is by Aberdeen, which wouldn't count as "North" Scotland. I would say the West Coast is the best - maybe try the North Coast 500 route (a 500-mile circuit around the top half of Scotland's coasts).

Miami, Florida
Not to us, but remember there are people from all over the world on this site. Every single post here has someone that lives in that area and is thinking the same thing. It's funny how small our world seems but then pictures like this show how little of it most of us get to see and experience.

Eh, not that impressive, if you take out the storm and rainbow out of the picture
Umm I live in Florida and can attest that rainbows do form in the southern sky. It's where the sun is in relation to the rain not the observer.

White Beauty, Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
It‘s not worth the hype. There are lots of prettier castles in Germany. In some regions you can drive just one street for an hour and see like 10 castles in a row. If you really want to see Neuschwanstein, then go in a season with less tourists. Otherwise you will have to wait hours to get in just to do a speedy tour. It‘s just a tourist attraction by this point.

Dubai, Uae
Welcome To Dubai
Dubai is a disgusting soulless city with no culture. boring, and the people that "call the shots" there are disgusting.
Anybody else read that headline as 96 Time Travelers? Come on BP that's the article we want! ;-)
There seems to be a misunderstanding of what the word 'remote' means!
Who cares, still stunning. (except for dubai which is literally a shithole)

You do realise there's a whole big world outside of the U.S., right? Like amazingly beautiful places that are, get ready for it, more beautiful than the United States? There entire 'lists' out there where U.S. isn't front and centre. (Except the list where only the U.S. and 2 other countries don't use the metric system. Like the entire rest of the planet is metric. You guys totally win on that list. You should make a video on that!)
Load More Replies...Beautiful and I enjoyed them but about half of them are aerial views ,from a drone I suppose, and not what you'd actually see if you were there in person.
