Meaning, if it caused some form of undesirable physical aspect on the face... I just remember how freaked out Americans were about letting anyone into the country during Ebola. If Covid caused bleeding from various facial orifices, they would all go get vaccinated.

The Republican House Doctors Caucus is calling on Dr. Eric Rubin, a professor at Harvard Medical School, to retract statements he made during the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) panel discussion on whether to endorse Pfizer and BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines for children aged 5 to 11. During the October panel discussion, Rubin said, “And yet, we’re worried about a side effect that we can’t measure yet, but it’s probably real.” Adding, “But we’re never going to learn about how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it. That’s just the way it goes.” The panel was in agreement with Pfizer’s own data that the vaccine is 90.7 percent safe for children. Dr. Rubin said there is much more to learn about the vaccine as it relates to children. So only a 9% death or bad outcome for children. Yeah, that's fine.

I have a feeling that number maybe inaccurate because I have a few friends who had it as kids. Their muscles were weakened. One woman told me one whole side was disabled and it hurt. At first she couldn’t get out of bed. She was forced to walk every day by her mother. It was exhausting and painful but she regained strength and “recovered.” However, now in her early 70s the pain has come back. It never goes away. Many older people who had polio suffer pain later in life.

One doctor told my friend who had polio that "over using" muscles can cause them to "weaken" as you get older. A neurologist told me that was nonsense, only he didn't call it nonsense he called it b***sh*t. My own physician said that was the most absurd thing she had ever heard and wanted to know what doctor was saying that, she actually did research [not online] and told me that none of the professors at Baylor Med had ever heard of it. But, evidently, it is possible to "re-catch" polio once you have had it. I am so sorry about the pain.

You make a great point because my children and I are fully vaccinated and will continue to receive vaccines that have undergone full development and testing. We have and will continue to refuse the COVID vaccination but my daughter will be getting her next varicella vaccine in February.
