When business owners go to Disneyland, they probably end up headhunting all of the employees out there. That's how dedicated and professional they are. Spotting a guy with a Deadmau5 shirt? Of course, Minnie Mouse will react. Meeting a guide dog? Pluto certainly won't miss a chance to pet it. Working as a real-life Disney character requires both dedication and a sense of humor!
"There's a lot that goes into creating a positive workplace culture that inspires your employees to provide incredible customer service," Bruce Jones, Disney Institute's Senior Director said. "But there has to be an essential foundation on which all service decisions can be developed - a common purpose. Disney's key to creating magical guest interactions and amazing stories for them stems from our Cast Members' understanding of our company's common purpose, which we describe this way - 'We create happiness by providing the best in entertainment for people of all ages everywhere.'"
Scroll down to witness Disney employees doing just that - from heartwarming words to random acts of kindness, these good people know how to make Disneyland the most magical place.

My mom told me that when I went to Disneyland when I was three, I met all the princesses and hugged them except for Ariel. I said she was a fake princess because mermaids don't exist and walked away. My mom couldn't stop laughing and feeling embarassed at the same time.
We went to disneyworld when I was 16 and it was AMAZING. I wore a giant teacup hat the whole time. The mad hatter offered to fill it up with tea. and one time I was walking around and Peter pan ran up behind me, he asked me why I had a cup on my head then took my hat and ran off! I chased him around the park for a good 5 mins and everytime I'd loose sight of him I'd see my hat being waved around in the air. And when we went to have breakfast with the winnie the pooh characters eeyore refused to leave till I gave him a hug.
This reminds me of the time a goose stole my hat as a kid. At the time it seemed like an epic battle, girl vs goose, but I imagine my parents were having trouble not laughing at my plight. (I did get it back, but there was a lot of chasing involved.)

I'll have to ask my mom for the picture, but... For some reason when we went to Disney, my dad was afraid someone would steal his shoes. My dad was a big guy-- 6'4" and 250lbs, so we joked that only Goofy would even want his shoes. We went to a character brunch and there was an actor dressed as Goofy, so my mom told him this story. He came back a little while later and pretended to try to steal my dad's shoes right off his feet.
Mr Walt Disney (wherever you are) you Sir, are a genius. Thank you for letting children and adults alike to indulge in their whimsical fantasies.

My kids made a carton dynamite stick, painted it red with the black fuse, and took it to the Warner Brothers movie park in Germany. But when they tried to scare the employees, not one of them played along. Dynamite sticks are present in EVERY WB-cartoon, but apparently not in the German versions!
In this day and age, I think an anvil would be more appropriate.

Where's the one with the little autistic boy crushing on Snow White and she was so sweet with him, he hugged her and put his head in her lap, and his mum said he doesn't usually like to be touched?
I always loved the argument between one little girl and the Gaston character. She was insisting that Belle was going to marry the Beast. Gaston laughed at the idea. Then mom says "let's have a picture." And Gaston steps to the little girl, put his hand on her shoulder and say "Smile like you're making me a sandwich!" Roars of laughter.

While the employer is strict about maintaining the dignitiy of the brand, there was absolutely none of the illegal labor practices to which you refer. In fact, they were militant about people taking scheduled breaks and clocking off at EXACTLY the right time. No 12 hours shifts for anyone that I knew.
