I have bad genetics with gum disease and tooth loss in my family lost all my teeth by 30 finally getting dentures that fit and not having everyone look at me like I was a meth head mate such a giant difference. Lost my front tooth, got it replaced with an ill-fitting crown that always popped off and re-glued. Finally, the crown popped off and was lost in tall grass and I had that gaping hole. I eventually was able to afford an implant. Best money I've spent all year.

I don't mean to keep harping on this issue, but a stray cat isn't a feral cat, although it can become feral if enough time has passed without human intervention. Stray cats can be reintroduced into a home, whereas a feral is a wild animal. Feral has always meant wild since it's Latin origin.

Late to comment: at the school where I work, students in kindergarten, Grades 1 & 2 where PE uniform 5 days a week. No formal uniform until Grade 3, and because there's no change facilities, on PE days twice a week they wear PE gear and the formal uniform 3 days a week. For example, PE uniform is shorts & short-sleeved polo shirt both with school logo for summer terms (which is now).

I know most people prefer the latter picture but if it were me I'd remove the stones and fill in where the stones were with enough soil to level it, then just let the wild plants take over.
And life is full of these small, yet significant (or not) choices, which can have both positive and negative consequences.
On the plus side, comparisons are great because of course these two dresses are the same, yet their pricing is different depending on the store. That in turn allows you to save money.

Your eyebrows and eyelashes may grow back a bit sparse, your hair may be a different texture like curly. It takes a bit for the steroids to pass and you lose the swollen moon face, but it will. Can confirm, I actually look like that after my 4th chemo appointment (out of 6). It's interesting to note how some hair falls out and some doesn't. I'm a guy and I used to have a goatee and that hair went first, leaving me with weird Asimov sideburns for a bit, but my eyelashes and eyebrows are still mistly there. Also, the hair on my arms is resolutely hanging on, despite also having tape stuck over it repeatedly to fix the drip. Probably the weirdest feeling is having no nose hair though.

If these are Bengals, the marbling is a recessive trait but not highly unusual- both patterns in one litter (including same father) is very possible. And, in my experience, females tend to be smaller. Not as a hard and fast rule (not explicit sexual dimorphism), but also not "runt" related.

My sweet Amora (Blackberry) looks almost exactly like this, except her countenance (half-closed eyes) makes her seem as if she's always angry (she's not, she's the sweetest from my 3 cat girls). I've never seen her wet, though, and now I'm considering buying a full armor kevlar suit to test this at home. If I won't update this comment in 2 or 3 weeks, please pray for my soul and consider giving her a chance at the adoption shelter.

My spine was worse than this. Straightening my spine allowed me to grow an inch and a half, which they took into account. Years later I began having severe back pains and I saw a doctor who was an idiot. He told my husband at the time that my body was creating the pain because I missed him since he was gone all the time for work. I told him if the pain was in my head, so was his bill and good luck getting it paid. I saw another doctor and they found out that the rod was stretched out too far because I had grown more than they planned and that was causing my back pain. I also learned that 2 months after they put the rod in my spine, they stopped using it in the US. 1985

Love that they look like theyāre transitioning. Iām old enough that in school I was taught if one of your parents had brown eyes and the other had blue, the kids would all have brown eyes. Very confusing as a kid having parents with different colored eyes and not having brown eyes myself.

Unless you were born before the 1880's, I think you just had a bad science teacher. I expect you were taught genetics based Mendel and his pea plants and punnett squares . In that case if your brown eyed parent had two brown alleles then yes all their children should have brown eyes(expressed as BB x bb= Bb). However it is equally likely that your brown eyed parent had both a dominant brown allele and a recessive blue allele, in which case you have a 50/50 chance of blue eyes (Bb x bb = Bb or bb) More modern science has showed us that this is an extreme over simplification, but it's still a good place to start.

The biggest male we studied was estimated at 1200 lbs...Also, please don't follow the "black fight back, brown lay down, white goodnight" rule! how you react to a bear encounter depends entirely on its behaviour, not its colour.

The prepare for bears rhymes: "If it's brown, get down!" (Grizzlies and brown bears usually leave if you play dead). "If it's black, fight back!" (Black bears are usually between 100 to 150 lbs full gown. Throw a rock, a punch, or a stick, and they will often leave). "If it's white, good night!" (Polar bears are massive and relentless. Yes, we do! Need it to show that black bear that looks so small in this picture is really quite large. A black bear is usually between 1.3 and 1.9 meters (4.3 to 6.2 feet). Polar bears are 2.4 to 3 meters (5.9 to 9.8 feet).

I like kittens until they turn into murder machines that claw up your couch. Mom's had 4 over the years and the last one is senile and refuses to use the litter box. In the last 6 months she finally agreed to never bring another cat home but puppies aren't out of the question.
It helps to avoid social media altogether as it’s considered a breeding ground for comparison. Everything there can easily become a measuring context, showing how better off someone is. However, everything has to be taken within context and that particular posts might be showing the positive side of things, without divulging how much had to be done for the post to be what it is.

Sadly all the urgent cares near me are appointment only now. They start taking appointments when they open in the morning and if you call past noon the appointments are all gone for the day. So if you need care soon, even if it wouldnāt normally be something youād go to the ER for, thereās nowhere else to go.

I TRIED to go to my doctors office. Turns out that if you run into the corner of your bed, start falling then rip your leg open on a soft nylon bag's zipper, of all things, and need stitches then you have to go to the ER. 17 stitches and over a month later, the edges are doing well but the middle is still healing. (yeah, it was a weird way to rip your leg open)

We have "Minor Injury Units" in The UK that are walk-in clinics and deal with cuts, scrapes and other non-life threatening ailments and injuries. We could use more so that A&E can focus on life-threatening emergencies and the GP surgeries can focus on long term management of patients' wellbeing.

We moved to a tourist area a while back from a town that basically only had 1 stoplight. I was shocked at how long it took to be seen at the hospital. I damn near cut my thumb off and had to wait for over an hour. The ones in front of me ranged from twisted ankles to splinters. People nowadays are soft AF. I don't know if it's pain pill hunting or attention seeking but folks need to get a grip and grow a pair.

Urgent care ruined my life. Turned a small simple problem into a life or death emergency bc the doctor wasn't a doctor. The ER saved my life but a year later I need another surgery and it could be life altering in the worst way. All of that would have been avoided if I went directly to the ER instead of Urgent Care. Be careful. Found out later that Jeff Bezos owned the Urgent Care I went to. Capitalism and healthcare are incompatible.

Other tactics include avoiding comparing other people’s “outsides” with your “insides” or even daring to use comparison as a motivator. Focus on your strengths and how these comparisons can make you better as an individual. Smartphone cameras were designed to take pictures of food, not the moon. Always use the lens for the purpose for which it was made.
Note that all of this doesn’t mean that you can’t celebrate other people. The fact that we advocate ourselves as people doesn’t have to stop there—we can spread positivity by cheering friends and coworkers on for their milestones. And hey, you can be inspired by that too. Use that as a motivator.

My brother was a red headed kid and teenager, but the older he gets the more blond he gets. Most people can't even tell that he had red hair except for his beard. I was blond until I was about 6 and then my hair turned brown. Interestingly enough I'm almost 50 and have never had a gray hair.

I hate shrinkfaltion, back then, companies would always care about the quality of their products and how it benefits the customer. Now they do anything to save money by tricking customers into thinking it's a huge benefit for us by going "BIGGER SIZE AND WORKS BETTER THEN BEFORE!" but is actually smaller and works nothing like before. And they have the audacity to make it hella expensive as well.

I'd be finding a new dentist if I were you. I had to be put to sleep to have wisdom teeth pulled when I was younger. Dude was an old school military dentist. When I woke up my chest was sore AF. Don't know if my then girlfriend told me the truth but she said he basically put his knee on my chest for leverage. And people wonder why I have trust issues.

They will give you "twilight" medication, enough to calm you down, but not enough to knock you out. You have to be awake throughout so you don't move. Which I was told over and over during my first corneal transplant, "Don't Move, Don't Move, Don't Move", so many times, they had to give me waaay more than normal.

I had glaucoma and cataract surgery last year (one eye at a time, about a month apart). Yes, it is unnerving to have someone poking and cutting your eyes (spent 63 years avoiding that religiously). They numbed the eye (probably around 12 drops to dilate and numb), used a wire spring to hold the lids open, inserted shunts to relieve the glaucoma, and replaced my cloudy lens with a clear, man made one) and it really was not as horrible as it sounds. Each eye took about 2 hours, and I could see clearly the following day. Vision went from 20/50 and very fuzzy to 20/15 and sharp. Had the great pleasure of going to motor vehicles and having the corrective lens restriction removed, and now I can read, drive at night, and wear "cool" sunglasses. It is still weird having exams and getting pressures tested, but it was worth every penny.

It looks like they're using a blue light, so yes all of those items would look different. This technique was used deliberately in some black-and-white movies for special effects. The old woman turning into a witch in 1937's "Sh! This is particularly evident with my car. I daily a 1994 Volvo 940, considered a "full size car" when new, it seems surprisingly small compared to what passes for a "small car" today.

Dog Groomers Gave Me The Wrong Dog
When I drop her off (have been going to the same place for 5 years), I don’t give specific cuts I let the groomer just make her look good. Today I went to pick her up and a new girl was working. She handed me the dog (same size, coloring just a different face haircut). I put her in my car wrapped the blanket around and noticed she wasn’t my dog. I’m sure it’s happened before at groomers. We found it pretty funny and fault on both sides. I’m sure it’s happened before at groomers.

There was a story where a man got his daughterās dog wrong and didnāt know until he got her home. Luckily it was a quick fix but what a stressful couple of hours for the pup.

How the hell do you not realize it's not your dog? I know my pets so well that I imagine it's similar to mother and child. I can't imagine a mother taking home the wrong child (unless it's the middle kid, they always get forgotten) nor a pet owner taking the wrong pet. Must have not been the primary owner. The husband, when it's really the wife's dog or vice versa.

A decent beef cut, not prime, is around $12-14/lb. That second one looks to have well over $120 just in beef. And it's fairly cheap where I live.

I have the 12 pro. One thing I loved about it was the size of the screen and the amount of space on it. I got the 256gb. I keep a glass screen protector on mine. Iām so glad I do because the first time I dropped it, I thought I broke the phone but it was just the screen protector that broke. š®āšØ

Still? Where are you? Luckily I've not had to deal with that for quite a few months now. But I did switch to an independent pharmacy which seems to have made a difference. I gave up on Walgreens.

2 Different Labs From 2 Different Clubs. Which One Looks More Legitimate?
Left is Sherry, looks like the European type to me. Right is Gerda, looks like the American type. Both have pedigree documents from the clubs. They are both about 48-50 cm tall, 28 kg.

More than by Country, it's easier to differentiate by type. There's the working type (left) and the show type (right). The working type is lighter, often looks like they are "longer" (like they have an extra long ribcage) and really thrives once they have a "job". The show type is heavier set, stockier and has a bigger head. Personally I'm not a fan of the show type, they are prone to become overweight, which is terrible for a dog breed that is known to eat whatever they find combined with being prone to be born with or develop hip dysplasia. No matter what the type you choose, both should never become overweight.

I would always prefer the sporty type. Although the Lab has always been a sturdy dog, so it's not like it's completely out of the blue that they turned heavier. It has, as with most breeds, gone quite overboard in the show-ring nowadays ,though proxy-imag...5-jpeg.jpg

The bluish color could be from Reynaudās or an underlying heart condition. That would be my guess.

I actually popped over to Reddit to comment on this post there. This has me very concerned. Cyanosis, lack of oxygen in blood (underlying heart or lung condition or blood disorder) or Raynaud's. I think it is cyanosis, her nails seem consistently blue and Raynaud's often manifests with different colors in the different fingers- they call it red white and blue disease for a good reason. The blood vessels spasm up randomly to create that effect. If it is Raynaud's she should have a workup done for auto-immune, specifically scleroderma and as a secondary lupus to exclude overlap.
