Colorado-based artist Heidi Annalise has an amazing talent to move wide open spaces into cute tiny boxes without losing their grace. She paints mesmerizing landscapes in mint tins where she attaches small pieces of palette paper to the top, and lays out a small palette of colours to work with on the bottom.
Annalise describes herself as a wilderness lover who specializes in frolicking the meadows. Her inspiration comes from the magnificent nature of her home state, Colorado, and it’s highly reflected in her artworks that she creates outdoors, since her “studio” is compact enough to be taken anywhere. Floating between realism and impressionism, her paintings add an element of fantasy to the natural world and reflect the artist’s joy of being surrounded by the beauty of the mountains.
