Most of us think of LEGO as toys, but there are actually a lot of practical ways you can use these plastic bricks in your everyday life.
LEGO produced their first plastic brick in 1947, but their limitless construction capabilities inspire people to come up with new projects to this day. For example, one clever teacher even uses LEGO to teach math. Bored Panda has selected some of the most functional ones and compiled this list to give you some ideas on how to improve your surroundings with LEGOs. From photo frames to key keepers, these projects can be done by everyone, even those who don't have an engineering degree. Scroll down to view the designs and don't forget to vote for your favorite ones.

Lego Bird Feeder
Lego Lampshade
Lego Key Keeper
Lego Lanterns
Lego Kitchen Decor
That's misusing the lego pieces - you could get much more creative. Respect, though.
The "yellow staircase": I think it's a sailboat. It's not the only intentional pattern. I see a green-on-green face, and on the other side of the table, just next to the first stool, a jack-o-lantern (as others have mentioned) and a lego figure's head? There are a few more that I'm less sure I'm not just imagining... a waving flag next to the sailboat, a figure in a cape on the bottom-left... these might just be my brain trying too hard.
Lego Guitar
Not only is this a Lego Guitar, its a Lego Millennium Falcon Guitar. This is like geekery overload at its finest
Lego Desk Organizer
Vase
Lego Wall

Lots of creative stuff and great ideas, but I wish these lists would stop repeating stuff to make the list longer, i.e. Bow tie, fish tank...
Another cool way to use Lego with your own photo: https://sketchfab.com/models/650587e2c4ff42b282e9992cb3944a09 avatar500-...b6ba76.jpg
Haha, so cool. I love the LEGO fish tank. http://www.smart-toys.info/best-lego-alternatives/
You teach a kid math by putting a ruler in his hand. Lego has nothing to do with math.
I love it! I also was inspire by LEGO and designed a hat baseball cap https://alldesignershit.com/collections/frontpage/products/ego-cap
The lamp shade was pretty cool, but I made an entire fully functional lamp.. Check it out on my ig https://www.instagram.com/p/BQ1Z7_FAXqJWeIwp3lwWmal366vbBn_JnrhozI0/
Nice and smart ideas, unfortunately they're too expensive to try down here in Peru. 😡
I really like everything they made , very amazing , they really used their inhalation!! I wouldn't mind trying to make the simple stuff . I know my grandson loves making stuff out of Legos.
That Lego wall idea? Each of those green sheets is approx $20, so 9x8x20 is a $1440 wall PLUS lego bricks. No... I'm good thanks.
why are there so many terrible puns here? do you know how many times i face palmed?
Lego is a collective noun, like water. To describe the parts of it, you say 'pieces of Lego' as Lego is the brand name of the whole thing.
These are cute, too! http://www.etsy.com/listing/117100137/lego-block-necklace-corner-drilled-your
