By the end of 2016, the war in Aleppo had subsided, and the old city returned to become the main destination for all the citizens of the city, to return to contact with the remaining symbols of their heritage, namely the citadel of Aleppo and the old city around it.
Mass destruction is enormous everywhere, a loss of architectural heritage, reminiscent of prehistoric times because Aleppo is one of the oldest cities in the world.
Samy Bayrakdar, a young man from the city of Aleppo, photographed a collection of photos about the Old City and published it with messages with very deep meanings.
In previous months Aleppo has been witnessing a period of maintenance, It is a city that knows how to rise after every disaster.
