I Was Curious How 30 Celebrities Who Left Us Too Soon Would Be Today, So I Used A.I. To Get The Answer (New Pics)
I am always curious to explore the possibilities of modern technologies: I previously had so much fun using an artificial intelligence app to see what the kids of celebrities and iconic fictional couples would have looked like, turned famous people from the '80s and '90s into children, and brought celebrities who passed away to life again.
The lives of most of these legendary people from film, television, and music ended way too soon and often in the prime of their careers and we can only imagine what their lives could've been, but we can at least try and recreate their appearance. I decided to continue experimenting with the power of A.I. to find out what famous people would have possibly looked like today if they were still alive.
Here is a unique opportunity to see what these 30 celebrities would have looked like in 2021 and to celebrate their talent and impact on the world.

I found out about artificial intelligence and its possibilities while searching for new stories and artists to share on Bored Panda. I was inspired by amazing art and decided to challenge myself and come up with something original and entertaining.
Artificial intelligence can be defined as the ability of devices to reason, decide, and solve problems. And some already act autonomously and do not need human supervision—like cars that do not need a driver, for example. I'm sure that in addition to having fun creating these images that I made, A.I. will affect the world a lot.

I have always been a fan of pop culture. I grew up watching romantic comedies, listening to songs about perfect love, and reading novels that exalt sacrifices as proof of love. After watching them, I always wanted to know who was the celebrity behind the character and this led me to fall in love with this industry. I was wondering how stars who passed away too early would look today. Of course, the images generated with A.I. are not 100% accurate and there is no way to put it to the test, but it is a great way to somehow remember and honor these beloved celebrities.

Submitting amazing stories to Bored Panda inspires me to create my own content because our readers have insightful comments that make us grow artistically. My mind never stops. I have many ideas; what I lack is the time to execute them all. As I say in my profile here at Bored Panda, I wish the day had 40 hours!

The first part of this project made me famous all over the world. From Japan to Iraq, I received a lot of positive feedback and requests to publish my work in online magazines and broadcast on television. Many people who lost their loved ones reached out to me to find out how they would be these days and it gives me a lot of joy and makes me realize how important my art is to many people.

I like these posts but i feel a little depressed for all those people that left so young....
That’s exactly what I was going to say, it’s really sad.
Load More Replies...Well, only God to really know how they would be, but I loved your job. It was very realistic and was a good dose of nostalgia 😍
It would be cool to see this used on younger pics of living celebrities who have aged to see how well it matches up
Brilliantly done! Even if I've made fun of a few hypothetical presumptions about hair, etc., the creator was right to take such guesses.
I like this, especially Mindy McCready at 46. What app did you to do this. Very good job on the others. Mind if I share the Mindy McCready one with my friend who is a very long time fan of hers.
I’m sorry to say that I don’t know who most of these are. Google here I come!
He died like 2 years ago. He would almost the same as he did
Load More Replies...Apparently the AI thinks that everyone turns into white folk as they age. Shame. Needs more/better training data.
Of course, the only thing is that some people did age progression photos a while back for people who were still living and they ended in looking nothing like the progressed versions in real life. With this, who's to say.
Some of these are just spot-on. The ones I find harder to believe is when they started out in wilder clothes - keeping the clothes the same (and I imagine it would be hard to change them) makes the photos look unbelievable. The best ones are the ones with the subtlest alterations - changing the mouth/smile, highlighting cheekbones. (Mind you, these are still WAY better than I could do!)
Well OK, but if you compare this with celebrities who did live to a ripe old age, you begin to realize that lots of money for cosmetic work will produce results that seem to turn back the clock (if the celeb keeps their clothes on!). So, these transformations assume that those folks did nothing to preserve their good looks over the decades, which would likely not be the case.
Nice effort, but would have been more effective/realistic if the poses and clothing were not replicated.
I don't think you understand how this works... you take the original image and "age" it. Of course it will be the same pose and clothes.
