On the ever-changing platform of TikTok, the Aged filter has emerged as the new trend, creating an aging effect that's going viral at an incredible pace. This filter basically imprints the signs of aging onto users' faces, intricately sketching out wrinkles, age spots, and gray hair, while also bestowing a characteristic puffiness that often comes with advanced years.
The filter sparked a lot of discussions around the topic of age and aging, with medical professionals on the platform stating that the filter is a rather accurate representation of how one might look once they hit their elder years.

Where are the droopy eyelids, sagging neck skin, thinner lips, bigger ears and nose, thinner hair? This is not realistic at all.
Ugh. Ladies, you're not fooling anyone by applying lipstick several millimeters outside your natural lip line. It doesn't make your lips look fuller. It just looks like you suck at applying lipstick.
Top is snoop dogg, bottom is feminine snoop dogg, you can't prove me wrong
Wait until you find out the reality. Your nose and ears keep growing, which this filter doesn't take into account.
I hate it when the age filter, or any filter, makes women who pull their hair back look like men.
I'm pretty sure the "aged" version is what she really looks like before all the filters of the original one.
Actually looks like there’s a “skin perfecting” filter on the bottom pic.
Depsite spending years on the zoom call, the rest of the family could not see the spot she was pointing to.
A wise grandfather took one look and said "Windex!"
Load More Replies...because they put on the filter, then realize how stupid they look then take it off for the "before"
Load More Replies...Some of these look like the pic was actually taken of the 50n yr old then reverse aged using an app. Some very obviously 'over smoothed' complexions
Oh God they look so realistic. I'm too frightened to try this out myself, I don't want the ghost of Christmas to come haunting me
Edit: OK I did it, I downloaded Tiktoc just for this. And I definitely did not need to see this particular future
Load More Replies...This is asinine. The only interesting/funny part of these pics is the assumption that most of these people will not undergo a significant weight gain. How many older folks weigh the same as they did in their 20s?
It would have been more fun if the AI predicted changes in hairstyles, new clothing styles, additional tattoos and the like.
Same. Sometimes my dad is looking back at me in the shaving mirror despite him having died many years ago.
Load More Replies...True story. In 1970 at university I had a part in a short Renaissance play. My character was "an old lady". They died my hair grey with some silver spray and a semi-professional cast member did my make up. Totally convincing. I went from 21 to 71 in 15 minutes. I will never forget the experience.....because now I am MORe than 71 and don't look at all like I did in the play. I can't explain exactly. I have great skin for my age but the "whole pkg" looks older now.
I'm 42 and I look older than half the aged pictures in this article. When I tried that filter it just showed me a picture of a tombstone.
