Yes I have, I have spent a lot of time in Iraq, Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, and Oman. I am very familiar with Mosul, Ramadi, Basra, Baghdad, Baghdad City, Kirkuk, Al-Fallujah, Ramadi, Haditha and other cities in Western Iraq. Things may have improved, but It is still too dangerous for a holiday. It has a "Do not travel advisory" from Dept of State because of IED attacks, political violence, ransom kidnapping, sectarian violence and ISIS is still being fought. It is not a safe or stable country no matter what anyone says and it won't be for at least another decade. I am glad you had a safe trip and your pictures are terriffic, I would love to visit many of the sites again like the ancient city of Hit or see the zigurrat, see the history of the Akkadians, Sumerians and Babylonians, I will wait a while longer though.
