Giant Strollers For Adults Let Parents Test Drive Before Buying

Babies have it easy. They puke on people without having to apologise. They cry in public without having to explain themselves. And they get chauffeured around in strollers without being expected to map read. But thanks to Kolcraft, a US baby products company, adults can now get in on the action by taking a ride in their very own pushchair.

The company has designed an oversized version of its Contours Bliss stroller to give parents a better idea of what their children experience. It’s not available to buy but you can take it for a test drive. “We created the test ride so adults could experience first-hand how each Contours Stroller is carefully designed with a baby’s joy and comfort in mind,” said Kolcraft president Tom Koltun in a press release. Fancy a spin? The next test-drive is scheduled for June 7th at Chicago’s Mary Bartelme Park. But get there early as it might be busy. And don’t throw a tantrum if you don’t get your turn.

“Babies can’t talk to tell you what they like,” say the creators

So this company decided to allow parents to test their strollers for themselves

Baby having different proportions, I'm not sure the test would be really helpful...still fun though :D

This is a very cute and fun way to play “baby" I love this it would at least give you an idea of what that's like. I sure don't remember the joys of a stroller and it'd be fun to experience being pushed in one. And so many people having a good laugh

This stroller design demonstrates absolute ignorance of the development of the human brain. Babies do not perceive the world the way adults do. You strap a toddler into this vehicle, then disappear from view and push her/him through a stream of strange monsters and a cacophony of frightening noise. The terrified toddler is likely to cry and scream while struggling to escape to a safe place. All that baby animals want to see is that their source of security and comfort, their mother, is right next to them. They do not want to see the world. Baby humans brains are incapable of understanding that their mother is nearby - behind this vehicle. Out of sight is out of mind. If your (male?) designers turn the seat around then toddlers and parents and passers-by in shopping centres would be spared that familiar modern sight - screaming, terrified toddlers!

Have you even been around a child ever your scientific b******t doesn't apply to every child if any child children aren't scared screaming or frantic anytime I've seen a forward face stroller I'm pretty sure I would like to look around at other things while knowing mom's still there I hear her speak. You obviously don't know much about human children you sound like ur talking about monkeys or something
