These are hauntingly beautiful, I love how you can almost feel the laughter, cries, screams, and stories told within these buildings. The mysteries hidden, if only we could reach into history and grab the tales these buildings have to tell us! The many questions whispered in the walls, why were they abandoned? Did the family who used to own it loose everything suddenly? Had they all died, of war or disease? The chipped paint, growing mold, and intricate furniture that's left to gain dust only adds to the frightening beauty. My mystery-filled soul loves this. :) I do hope they get renovated and restored to their former glory however, there really is no use for keeping such grand buildings empty. Thank you for taking such beautiful pictures!

Beautiful places and pix, but I'm gonna be the a-hole here, maybe don't call this series 'most beautiful abandoned places around the world' if some 97% of them are from Europe (and mostly France, Italy and Belgium at that)
