Packed with items from another time period. This abandoned house in Connecticut is a complete preserved time capsule. It belonged to a former WWII Veteran and Prisoner or War who also won the Purple Heart. The house has been abandoned for at least two decades. Take a step back in time through my photographs.

In 20 years, aside from the sun faded chair, those fabrics & blankets look pristine. Little to no apparent dirt & dust came it from the outside? No critters building nests? There does appear to be water leaks but no real ceiling damage. Very little wallpaper damage/peeling. The garage & house seem to be separated by a number of years of wear & tear.

Hmmmm, fruit that hasn't gone off? House plants that haven't died? Large self portrait just left leaning on a chair, with hat hanging on wall just above the crutches. No spider webs, unused toothbrushes. Photos conveniently placed. I hate to say it but part of this does look rather staged.

When you say "explored" all I can think of is "broke in without permission".

Everyone should stop claiming the photographer staged this. Sure, there are flowers and fruit, but if you look closely those plants are fake (which is very obvious in the least upstairs bedroom photo). This is really interesting though, do you know why the owner abandoned it?

The well placed suitcases and red coat in the bedroom is kinda my FAKE neon blinking light.

Absolutely fascinating. Great pictures and a great insight. We can't underestimate that WW2 defined the lives of those who took part. Have a read of 'Weird War Two' for more on this - https://amzn.to/3nBHUXI

I have the right to defend myself. Especially if people are making claims about me. 🤷🏼‍♂️

if this was in Mexico everything would've been stolen, including the house itself they'd be 3 families living there already

Damn straight, it all (everything in the house) would've been sold at the flea market for mere pennies on the dollar. And I beg your pardon, there's no way Mexicans would have 3 families living there - more like 5 or 6 along w/about 50 stolen cars we'd chop up & sell to earn enough $$ to have our annual Thanksgiving & Christmas tamale feast 🤪🤣🤪

The house picture shows two chimneys but you never saw a fireplace? HUH?

I usually like these but this feels more like a home invasion. This guy deserves some respect even if he is dead. His life shouldn't be a side show.

Especially when one of the windows is open, not nearly enough dust on the kitchen table. I'm just not buying it.

Staged. Pic 2, Upstairs Bedroom. Chair in corner has some old photos and a cigar box. Look to the right in the next room. Pink coat on the floor, amongst other fabric items. And some kind of a pull cart for shopping. Now look at Pic 14, Upstairs Bedroom. Corner is cleaned up, coat hanging on chair. Look at the room to the left. Now the chair is empty, no pictures or cigar box.

This man needed some simple housekeeping help. Why didn't anyone help him with that? Perhaps he was alone. I'm not talking about the structure damage, just the inside.
