I Photographed The Abandoned Home Of A WWII Veteran And It’s Like A Time Capsule
Packed with items from another time period. This abandoned house in Connecticut is a complete preserved time capsule. It belonged to a former WWII Veteran and Prisoner or War who also won the Purple Heart. The house has been abandoned for at least two decades. Take a step back in time through my photographs.

Share on FacebookIn 20 years, aside from the sun faded chair, those fabrics & blankets look pristine. Little to no apparent dirt & dust came it from the outside? No critters building nests? There does appear to be water leaks but no real ceiling damage. Very little wallpaper damage/peeling. The garage & house seem to be separated by a number of years of wear & tear.
Yes it's very sad, looking into the life, of some ones life, he may be, lo king down, hope he is i heaven !!!
Load More Replies...Hmmmm, fruit that hasn't gone off? House plants that haven't died? Large self portrait just left leaning on a chair, with hat hanging on wall just above the crutches. No spider webs, unused toothbrushes. Photos conveniently placed. I hate to say it but part of this does look rather staged.
It was gross plenty of spiders I concur

I wonder if people reading these "abandoned places" posts realize they are all staged.
Everyone should stop claiming the photographer staged this. Sure, there are flowers and fruit, but if you look closely those plants are fake (which is very obvious in the least upstairs bedroom photo). This is really interesting though, do you know why the owner abandoned it?
Absolutely fascinating. Great pictures and a great insight. We can't underestimate that WW2 defined the lives of those who took part. Have a read of 'Weird War Two' for more on this - https://amzn.to/3nBHUXI
lol the post author certainly is defensive about all this... XD
I have the right to defend myself. Especially if people are making claims about me. 🤷🏼♂️
