I’m a photographer Martynas Zaremba and I was very lucky to bump into a couple wanting to do an engagement photo-shoot at a very unusual place. Eglė and Jonas wanted to visit an abandoned amusement park in Elektrėnai, Lithuania. The place is considered dangerous so Jonas had to put some effort to obtain permit from municipality.

The soviet-era amusement park was part of the childhood for him and the bride just as much as it was for most people having grew up in Elektrėnai. Local community still hopes that one day it will come back to life. Unfortunately, the law stands in the way, as the area is considered to be a forest. At least that’s what the lady from the municipality said.

A couple is now happily married and since there are many beautiful locations in Lithuania our collaboration will continue!
