Amazing, I wished more people did things like that with their cats, and love the harness! Best way to keep them safe and let them get some outdoors fun :)

I wish i could do it, but my lady is a scaredy cat, terrified of cars/harnesses/carriers and anything and everything that is outside the apartment she lives in. She gets desperate every time she hears a noise/thunder or when i bring someone new home. I tried to expose her to all of these over the years ever since she was 2 months old and positively reinforce her every time she got curious and tried new things. It didn't/doesn't work. The most brave thing she did in all of her 10 and a half years is stare out the window. I don't know if she had any traumatic experiences before i got her or if this is just the way she is, but she's only comfortable inside the apartment and that's it. Vet visits? Absolute nightmare, she cries all the way to the vet to the point of exhaustion. If it would be up to her, she'd just sleep on my lap all day. I would love to have her with me all the time, even when i travel, but this is just not possible in our case :(

Absolutely stunning and amazing photos and what a lovely cat you have! BTW, which lens did you use? I think some of the photos were shot at f1.2, right?

Your cat is fortunate to live with you, and you are lucky to have such a laid back cat who's not scared of the outside world. I'd love to do the same things with my cat, but she's terrified of everything that's outside the apartment we live in :(

Right. So I leave them alone in a motel room? What happens when the cleaning staff comes in? Will they take the time to get them back? I doubt it. So I take them in the car with me. Of course, they would have to be in carriers because they want to sit in my lap and I can't drive that way. When I go to an attraction, do I leave them in the car? On a hot day with the window open just enough that they can get air, not exit the car, and hopefully no one can break in? Right. Or am I supposed to carry the cat thru a museum? I have a great kitty sitter who comes twice a day to feed, water, scoop, hug and play. They are safe at home with someone who knows how to take care of them. They don't get out, they would be taken to their regular vet if needed. I don't worry about them. Of course, they miss us and are glad to see us when we get home. We miss them terribly. But taking them on vacation would be about the stupidest, most unsafe thing we could do.

I used to bring my cat to my vacation home down MD every week, but one time I decided to leave him home. When we came home, we discovered he had peed all over my husband's desk--bills and all! He was literally pissed! Never left him home again! LOL!

Since when did Bored Panda become a photographer's gallery? Nice work, but right at the bottom of this "article" it says "Anyone can write on Bored Panda." Or not write at all. It's all good...

Don't know what the photos have to do with "why you shouldn't leave your cat home", but they certainly are beautiful photos.

Very nice pictures, they're beautiful. Cats are mainly territorial, they don't take kindly changing places. Of course they are cats that like to travel, but they are exeptions. It's rare and special that your beautiful cat like to travel. I hope this post doens't encourage people to get their cats stressed.

Because I want to be stuck in a car for 6 hours with a cat that doesn't want to be in the car, followed by him pissing all over the hotel room or cabin because he has no idea why he's not in his territory.
