This summer I have spent 16 days in Iceland, sleeping in a car, experiencing the greatest freedom ever and taking photographs.

My main goal was to capture the light and the nature, the textures and the shapes of that magical land. It was daylight 24/7 then and on better days the sunrise followed the sunset within couple of hours.

I had many conceptual plan about how to shoot landscapes. I have done few minimalistic series and on the other hand I tried to show my inner world as well.

These pictures looks unreal, surreal and a little bit my personal illustrations to Jules Verne’s great novel. I always imagined the Journey to the Centre of the Earth in fairytale way and this is what I tried to express with these photographs. I am not manipulating in photoshop, not adding or taking anything away from the pictures but I colorised them to lift up the feeling of something magical.
