    Alaçatı is located on the western coast of Izmir Province in Turkey. It is well-known for its architecture, vineyards and windmills.     The famous Clock Tower located in the center of Izmir is a symbol of the city. It was designed by a French architect and was built in 1901 as a gift from German Emperor Wilhelm II to Abdülhamid II’s accession to the throne . For six years it was depicted on the back of the 500 lira banknote.

    Turkey is well-known for its bazaars but the two in this list are worth-visiting. Kemeraltı is a historic bazaar in Izmir built in the 17th century and has extended to a wider area since then. You can find amazing things there- typical Turkish goods and handmade decors made by young and ambitious designers.

    Kızlarağası Hanı is another of the famous bazaars in Izmir. It is covered and you can buy almost anything there and some times you can get something for free as a bonus. There are a lot of places in it where you can eat iskender (a traditional Turkish meal with meat) or drink Turkish black tea (cay)

    Şirince may seem like an ordinary small and beautiful village. The truth is jaw-dropping. Do you remember the 2012 Mayan Apocalypse? Şirince was one of the few places that was known to be a safe one for the future end of the world. A lot of people bought property in the small village or just planned to use it as a hideout. The 600 inhabitants of the village had to share the scarce area with around 60 000 visitors. The world didn’t end but the village became well-known and turned into a preffered tourist destination.
