Artist Continues To Transform Strangers Into Pixar-Like Cartoons, And The Result Is Pretty Amazing
Did you ever wish to have your star moment in a blockbuster? How about an animated hit? Lance Phan is a gifted digital artist who makes strangers’ childhood dreams come true by transforming them into awesome cartoon characters that look like they stepped out from a new Pixar or Disney film.
Lance has an inarguably incredible set of skills, but the magic of his work lies in the details that give animated characters a real and charming personality. His character designs perfectly resemble the human subjects and whole fantastic animated worlds around them that could serve as an inspiration for a new movie script. From a walk in the park to a cute relationship and a wedding photoshoot – his digital drawings are as uniquely diverse as people’s lives are.
Previously featured on Bored Panda, the artist returns with more cool drawings that have gained him 101k followers on Instagram and countless commission requests on his website.

I mean, these two were practically Pixar characters from the beginning.
Ooh the mom looks so villainous :) she'd be the perfect antagonist for a movie with a wonderful redemption arc- affection for her son
Spot on. Waiting to see their “Golden Anniversary” portrait 50 years from now.
Awww they are such an adorable couple or people (if they are not a couple)
Kids, it pays to learn skills. This artist's rate is 25 USD/hour. He stated in one comment on Fb that he spends 40-60 hours/picture (that seems absolutely fair to me). So the final cost will be around 1000-1500 USD/pic. If you want higher resolution, more angles or 3D that will be an additional fee (also seems fair). In his gallery I can see 42 portraits at the moment. That's around 42.000 - 63.000 USD. If you multiple the working hours we can say that this amount of money is a yearly salary, right? Kids, it pays to learn skills. :) Side note: Good for him and everyone who can afford his art. No harm feelings or jealousy by me. My only concern is about the World in general. As a nurse, a doctor, a fireman, a teacher etc. will never earn an amount like this. Life is strange. But that's not this artist's fault. It's just my weird thought about this phenomenon.
I'm sorry Agnes, but your info seems to be inaccurate. It's true that Lance said his rate was $25/hour, but the final price would not be 1000-1500 because he would re-used some of his resources from one piece to create another that would significantly reduce the production time. Therefore, the final price would be around 200-250 for a single person picture and 450 - 500 for a couple picture. He does however have an auction program on his website where people some time lay quite some bids, but there are only 2 slots per month.
