    very realistic. I was a compassion kid from the DR, i can picture myself in 28 of your 31 pictures you posted.

    I haven't been there in 40 years but in the 60s and 70s I visited at least once a year. It was heartbreaking to see the poverty. You couldn't go anywhere without encountering children begging for money.

    I spent last summer in the DR working with children in situations much like this, and many of these photos look like they could have actually been taken in the village where I worked. This is beautiful, and it makes me miss the DR. Thank you for sharing this glimpse with the world, because, much more than the touristy part of DR (which I also viewed), this is what I want to remember.
