Himmeli, a traditional Finnish decoration is also nice craft project if you have straws and a thread. Many people like to make a simple octahedron-shaped himmeli as a Christmas decoration. Here are instructions in English: https://blog.creativelive.com/octahedrons-for-himmeli-mobiles/?utm_variation=Y47mR

I usually don't watch many videos here , but, I did learn some tricks.... best one for me was pool noodle-pine cone wreath. Using a wreath form is harder than this looks here. Noodle & straw crafts can keep kids busy .

Charming crafts and video. Creating beauty from things that would normally be discarded is a great way to recycle. Parents and craetakers can make ornaments with children creating a bond and doing something constructive together. Make memories and events! YAY

My mom used to make beautiful ornaments that looked way classier than any of these ideas. If these projects were made by kids in a classroom, they'd be cute and something a parent would cherish because their child made it. But as for an adult making these, they just look cheap and trashy.

These look like trash before and trash after. Who thinks, "If only my house had MORE clutter?"

That is a bit harsh. Some are pretty nice solutions if you don't have the money to spend on nice decorations. I've seen tackier things in shops. When we were little, we loved making our own decorations. Most likely that lots looked rubbish but the point is that you are spending time crafting and it is rewarding in itself :)
