School Asks 100 Graffiti Artists To Paint It Before Renovation, And Result Is Better Than Any Renovation
Most schools looks pretty bland, with safe homogeneous colors and uninspired designs, but one hundred graffiti artists have just turned the boring walls of a dormitory in Paris into a stunning celebration of art and creativity.
The team spent three weeks painting the interior of a student residence at the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris. The artists, who were invited as part of Rehab 2, an urban festival that ran from 16 June to 16 July, were given free reign to let their imaginations run wild before the space was opened to the general public. Sadly the exhibition will only be on display for a limited period because the art will soon be erased during an official renovation of the dormitory, but fortunately photographers have documented the project so that their incredible efforts will live on. Check out some of our favorite pictures below, and don't forget to vote for the best.

I think so many colours would drive me to insanity at some point if I study in a place like that. Never the less, it's pity the exhibition would be gone in a few weeks, the creators of this master-pieces really made a lot of effort.
Was about to write something similar. The art looks stunning and all, but I wouldn't be able to concentrate and study there. There's just too much going on that would make me all jittery.
Load More Replies...Street art is ephemeral. It's not meant to be permanent and the artists know that. That's what makes what they do so important. The whole thing has been thoroughly photographed, and if the school is smart, they''ll sell it and use the proceeds for the school. They could also auction random sections of drywall.

I'm pretty sure it's because the graffiti is in the hallways as apposed to the classrooms.
