Today I would love to share with you some of my photograph, which I captured in a Madrasah, place of religious education to Muslims, there is a system for religious education in all religions, Madrasa is the place of highest religious education for the Muslims. Starting from young age, one becomes an Islamic scholar after completing Madrasa education.

There are several kinds of Muslim madrasas, there are some of the Arabic medium, some use the mother-language beside Arabic.These pictures are of Qowmi Madrasa, whose medium of instruction is completely Arabic. Here all boys read, and it is compulsory for them to stay in a dormitory, they eat, study, sleep together in same room, and many students eat together, because of this it seems that cooking is arranged for a large program.

Moreover, they do everything sitting on the floor there. For example, they study on the floor, they eat and sleep on the floor. This is because Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to prefer doing the same.

Usually, besides the teaching of Holy Quran and the Sunnah, students in these Madrasa also study politics and many other subjects. Islam is a religion of peace, not violence- they graduate with this motto to spread it out around the world.
