Meet Pit Bull Hulk – The Largest Pit Bull Ever

While pit bulls and other snub-nosed strong-jawed dogs are often seen as dangerous and unpredictable, this American pit bull terrier and bull terrier cross named the Hulk pit bull, is sure to melt even the coldest heart. Not because he is fluffy, and not because he is tiny, but precisely the opposite – he’s the biggest pit bull that has ever lived. Being as big as he is (around 173.4lb or 78 kgs and still growing), people tend to look at Hulk the pit bull cautiously, but his owner, breeder, and trainer Marlon Grannon of Dark Dynasty K9 trusts this big softie to play with his 3-year-old son.

Pit bulls usually weigh around 30 to 60 lbs (13-27 kgs), so Hulk pit bull exceeds it almost four times. This kind of size and mass isn’t particularly healthy for any dog breed – it impairs their agility and stresses the joints, shortening the possible lifespan. But even these risks don’t stop Hulk the pit bull from fathering his first litter of pit bull puppies. Because of their daddy’s big-boned nature, the doggies are expected to grow to the same-sized cute as the biggest pit bull in the world and should fetch the owner around half a million dollars.

How did Hulk the Pit Bull get so big?

We know, we had the very same question! But, before we seek an answer to it, let’s dig a bit deeper into pit bull Hulk’s dossier.

Born on September 7th, 2013 in Florida, US, Hulk the pit bull was pretty unusual right from the start. See, Hulk wasn’t really a pit bull at all, but rather a crossbreed between an American pit bull terrier and an English bull terrier. And you know how it is with mutts; sometimes you truly get the most unexpected outcome and the most surprising puppies you wouldn’t even dared to dream of.

That’s exactly what happened with Hulk pit bull!

Now, to the part about his size and how did he get so big? Most of it is just speculation, but Hulk the pit bull’s ginormous size is probably attributed to the fact that he was what he was – an adorable mutt. It wasn’t some specific diet or supplements that made him so gigantic, but rather a lucky ticket at the gene lottery. Speaking of diets – pit bull Hulk ate around 4 pounds or almost 2 kgs of ground beef every day to keep his tummy happy!

Myths and Facts about Hulk the Pit Bull

As with any legend – be it an animal, a fictional character, or a person – there are bound to be some myths and a couple of untruths about them! Here are a couple of most often encountered ones that we’d like to bust:

Black pit bull Hulk – yes, of course, a black pit bull is twice fiercer than a brown and white one! However, Hulk the pit bull isn’t one of them. That said, some of Hulk puppies are gray, which is pretty darn close to the fierceness of black!

Hulk the pit bull isn’t real – it is definitely hard to believe that such a huge dog exists, but the biggest pit bull in the world is 100% real!

Pit bull Hulk is aggressive – not at all. In fact, most pit bulls aren’t aggressive, but they can be trained to be excellent working and guard dogs.

    Hulk the Pit Bull’s Legacy

Although there were rumors that Hulk the pit bull died, it isn’t so! As to our knowledge, Hulk the pit bull is still very much alive and has sired at least eight puppies. Some of them were sold for incredible prices of around $30,000 and some of them were kept by the Dark Dynasty K9 and trained by Hulk’s owner.

However, one of Hulk pit bull sons, Ace, did get killed by an accident and that’s were the rumors of Hulk’s death started.

Although some breeders weren’t too happy for pit bull Hulk to sire puppies just as big as he is due to possible health concerns, Hulk will come into history as the father of a whole new kind of pit bull. Large, powerful, strikingly beautiful, and mellow as a kitten!

The Staffordshire terrier is meant to be an athletic, medium sized dog. This dog is a mutant product of irresponsible breeding. Thumbs down.
